2 OVERVIEW ELECTRONICS FOR YOU EXPO 2015 The tremendous response to the 5th Electronics For You Expo 2015 (EFY Expo) conclusively proved the show to be an Indian exhibition for the global electronics industry. An enthusiastic electronics industry converged at this extravaganza held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from February 26-28, Started in 2011, the EFY Expo entered its fifth year, emerging as an even better platform for business and networking. With 174 exhibitors showcasing their products under one roof, this electronics exposition turned out to be an appropriate platform for innovators, design engineers, manufacturers and traders of electronic systems and components. With the sole aim of accelerating the growth of the electronics industry in India, the Expo focused not only on components and manufacturing equipment but the entire ecosystem. The Indian electronic system design and manufacturing (ESDM) industry is going all out to make the government s recently-launched Digital India and Make in India campaigns a success. Electronics For You Expo India 2015, an international exhibition organised by the EFY Group and Electronic Industries Association of India, promoted the Make in India concept by providing an ideal platform for innovators, designers, manufacturers and sellers to showcase the latest in electronics. This successful event is expected to return in a much bigger and better avatar next year under an umbrella called India Electronics Week with four other co-located events. 3 CONFERENCES & SEMINARS ELECTRONICS FOR YOU EXPO 2015 Delegates and speakers at the ELCINA CEO Summit ELCINA CEO SUMMIT CELEBRATING THE SUCCESS OF THE ESDM INDUSTRY The ELCINA CEO Summit was aimed at celebrating the success of the ESDM industry and exploring the roadmap ahead. During the summit, some key announcements were made, including signing of an agreement between Infomax Communication, Taiwan, and Sahasra Electronics, India, to manufacture industrial mobile phones in India. Delegates: 146 VENDOR DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR Delegates: 114 The vendor development seminar was organised to bring together buyers and suppliers. Speakers at the seminar were from companies that procure from the electronic components industry in large quantities. They spoke to the audience about what buyers experienced while sourcing locally. During the sessions, speakers shared the view that only sourcing from local manufacturers would reduce the lead time to the market. BUYER-SELLER ZONE Buyers: 17 The EFY Group, in collaboration with Electronic Industries Association of India, had set up a special platform for large buyers across industries to meet new vendors and drive their vendor-development initiatives. The meet saw 17 large buyers, up from 13 last year, and more than 110 meetings were held. TEST AND MEASUREMENT INDIA (4TH EDITION) Delegates: 84 India s leading T&M equipment providers exhibited at EFY Expo, making it the only expo dedicated to this segment. The T&M showcase was a new initiative this year, as a part of T&M India, to demonstrate the latest test and measurement equipment to the industry. Some key participants included Keysight Technologies, Rohde & Schwarz India, Anritsu India, Tektronix India and MetroQ, among others. The showcase gave visitors an insight into the latest equipment including digital storage oscilloscopes, analysers and handheld tools, specifically tailored for design engineers and academicians. SMT MANUFACTURING WORKSHOP Delegates: 89 A half-day seminar was held by Kang Young Bong, managing director, YB Techsolution Pvt Ltd, and Kalpesh Sankhe of Kyoritsu Electric India Pvt Ltd. Both are experts, each with nearly two decades of experience, in South Korea and India, respectively. The workshop highlighted the history of SMT, its current state in India, the challenges faced, the types of losses incurred while using SMT machines and how to overcome these, etc. Post Show REPORT2015

On the second day, we signed an MoU with our Taiwanese partner, Infomax, for the production of industrial mobiles in India. This year, the best part was the proactive role of the organisers in arranging the buyer-seller meet. It helped exhibitors to get in touch with the right customers.
