4 WORKSHOPS 4 SEPTEMBER 2018 Pre-Seminar 9:00 am 11:45 am The Impact of the Introduction of Balance Sheet Relief Mechanisms by Central Banks on the End-to-End Cash Cycle Moderated by Jens Seidl, Currency Research Fee US$150 per person A number of central banks have introduced mechanisms to provide balance sheet relief to commercial banks in the past decades, fundamentally changing the dynamics of the cash cycle and the demands on cash management companies and commercial banks. This workshop will look at different models for so-called notes held to order schemes, or off balance sheet arrangements, explore advantages and issues, highlight learnings from existing schemes, and look at the end-to-end impact on all players in the cash cycle. We will examine the changed roles and responsibilities of different parties as well as varying scoping statements and their respective benefits and risks. This workshop will be interactive with an opportunity to share your specific plans, concerns, and ideas. 2:00 pm 4:45 pm Asia Cash Management Association (ACMA) Workshop Fees: US$250 per person (50% discount for ACMA members) PART I: Future of Cash The ACMA Workshop will explore per country basis Cash vs Digital payments, the impact digital payments will have on future cash payments and how the type of payments employed are linked to GDP, population mean age, percentage of unbanked population and average wage. It will also discuss legislation or regulation in the cash cycle and its impact on the commercial cash operations. PART II: Attacks/Fraud and Risk Mitigation The Workshop will explore the types of attacks experienced by each country represented by ACMA members and compare them to the losses experienced by European businesses where criminals or criminal gangs are more sophisticated and organised. Mitigation is vital in reducing the known risks and anticipating future risks. This requires a clear understanding of the markets we operate in through a detailed risk assessment which in turn drives the measures required to mitigate the risks or future risks and will identify the investment needed to protect the assets and personnel under our protection.

5 PRESENTATION HIGHLIGHTS The Role of a CMC in Achieving an Optimal Cash Cycle by Partini Ibrahim, Executive Vice President, Regional Payment & SST Operations, Group Operations, Maybank Cash management is not operating in a vacuum. It is subjected to a number of pressures and influences that can create substantial conflicts. Offering more cash points whilst ensuring cost efficiency in meeting consumer demands for instant cash access is incredibly challenging. This session will give you an insight on how a Malaysian Bank embarked on a journey to revitalize its overall cash management process, thus ensuring the right amount of cash is at the right place and time, eliminating excessive CIT trips, cutting interest expenses and ensuring better management of the CIT partners. Transformation of Cash Services in a Digital World by Anesh Naidoo, Vice President, DBS Bank Singapore This presentation will discuss trends in digitization in the banking sector, drawing on DBS Bank s experience. Technological solutions are used to accelerate the most common banking processes, freeing up bank staff to guide and advise. In the face of digitization and automation, we still see that cash services are very much needed by our personal and corporate customers. We have embarked on a journey to transform our cash services to better serve our customers, optimize cost and mitigate risks. The Concept of Blockchain and Examples of Blockchain by Roberto Akyuwen, Indonesia Financial Service Authority (OJK) Blockchain is actually not a new technology it is a new combination of technologies: encryption, peer-to-peer network, database, and consensus. Using this combination of technologies, blockchain can replace the function of any database without a central server, which has a huge impact on many institutions in our industry. Blockchain has the ability to let multiple parties with competing interests work together without one of the parties having a stronger position imagine no fear of data tampering, leaks or fraud. There are many values to blockchain, such as the fact it is fully auditable as all historic data is visible; it is robust (hard to delete the state of the ledger); it has integrity as customer data cannot be accessed or changed without notice; it has nonrepudiation as it is easy to prove who does what. This presentation will look at the uses and ideas of blockchain and how they will impact our industry. ASIA.ICCOS.COM/REGISTER

6 Cyber Fraud Detective and Preventive Measures by Iwan Setiawan, Executive Analyst, Bank Indonesia The digital economy era has transformed the way people interact and conduct payment for goods and/or services, thanks to the proliferation and advance development of ICT and network connectivity. It can be used in attempts to steal financial account, credit/debit/atm card or other payment credential information as well, using various theft method such as skimming, malware or simply social engineering method. Cyber fraud has attracted not only individuals but also international organized crime in order to have huge financial gain with very low-risk.
