Project placed On Hold due to Collie Coal Field Review by WA Government Collie coal has been assessed suitable for gasification in recent studies e.g. Perdaman Fertiliser Plant 2. Proposal is a Coal Gasification Plant to provide Gas for Power Generation and for Supply to Local Alumina Refineries 3. Estimated Capex for 300MW Plant is US $1,200 per kw greenfield, 4. Over 300Mt of Coal Reserves in Collie at a relative low cost base compared to gas 5. Collie South - Boyup Brook Coal in the Wilga Basin 90 Million Tonnes of sub-bituminous Coal Resource Current owner is Lanco are currently experiencing problems 6. 22 2.7 Cyprus Tailing Ponds Project Execution Resources CSIRO Dr Chris Vernon, Research Program Director CSIRO Mineral Resources Prima Resources held meeting with CSIRO on Monday 5th October 2015 Meeting was held to discuss Cyprus Tailings Pond Remediation CSIRO agreed they would provide technical support to Prima for the Cyprus Tailings Pond Project.
