1 PLAN SUMMARY Brigus Gold Corporation (Brigus Gold) operates the Black Fox mill site which is located at 5300 Hiwy 101 Highway East, Matheson centered at UTM coordinates ( , ) (NAD83 datum). The mill site extracts gold through mechanical and chemical processing of ore (NAICS code ). The facility meets the criteria which determines applicability of the Act and is therefore considered a regulated facility. The main chemical used at the mill is sodium cyanide which is used in the gold extraction process, due to the high affinity of gold for cyanide. Cyanide is listed in the NPRI with an ionic qualifier and no specific CAS RN. In 2011, Brigus Gold used cyanide in excess of the 10 tonne NPRI reporting threshold and thus was required to report releases. The facility s NPRI ID is In 2011, Brigus Gold employed 76 full time employees (equivalent). The NAICS codes applicable to the facility are: Two-digit: 21 Mining & Oil & Gas Extraction Four-digit: 2122 Metal Ore Mining Six-digit: Gold & Silver Ore Mining The public contact for the facility is Kate Wood, Manager, Investor Relations Phone: (416) Fax: (416) Address: 357 Bay Street, Suite 700 Toronto, ON ir@brigusgold.com This Toxic Reduction plan was prepared for cyanides (ionic). Metals (arsenic, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, lead, manganese, nickel, selenium, vanadium and zinc) are addressed in a separate plan. Brigus is committed to playing a leadership role in protecting the environment. Wherever feasible, we will eliminate or reduce the use, creation and discharge of cyanides (ionic) in full compliance with all federal and provincial regulations. Toxic substance reduction will be an ongoing effort, and we will continue to monitor technological advancements to ensure that options that are both technologically and financially viable are implemented at our facility. All employees at Brigus Black Fox Mill will be involved in the reduction of toxic substance use, creation and releases. Cyanides (ionic) will be our first priority for reduction. Our goal is to reduce the use and creation of cyanides (ionic) where technically and economically feasible by the timetable noted in the plan. We will achieve these reductions through process automation and employee education and training.

2 In response to the enactment of the TRA and O.Reg. 455/09, Brigus has examined toxics reduction in accordance with the aforementioned legislation and had committed to implementing the following options: Employee training module to include awareness of cyanide use and reduction Automated cyanide dosing system The following table summarizes reduction targets as a result of implementing an automated dosing system (non-applicable categories were omitted: created; contained in product; releases to water and land; disposals; and off-site recycling). Used On-Site Releases (tonnes/year) (tonnes/year) Air Water Land Baseline >100 to 1000 >0 to 1 >0 to 1 >1 to 10 Reduced >100 to 1000 >0 to 1 - >1 to 10 Total Reduction >10 to 100 >0 to 1 - >0 to 1 % Reduction 8% 13% - 8% Complete implementation of the options above is expected to be completed by March Estimated reductions as a result of the process automation are expected approximately one year from implementation (March 2014). This plan summary accurately reflects the content of the toxic substance reduction plan for cyanides (ionic), prepared on behalf of Brigus dated 29 December 2012.

4 PLAN SUMMARY Brigus Gold Corporation (Brigus Gold) operates the Black Fox Mill site which is located at 5300 Hiwy 101 Highway East, Matheson centered at UTM coordinates ( , ) (NAD83 datum). The mill site extracts gold through mechanical and chemical processing of ore (NAICS code ). The facility meets the criteria which determines applicability of the Act and is therefore considered a regulated facility. The main raw material at the mill is ore which contains naturally occurring metals and from which gold, the facility s end product, is extracted. Arsenic, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, lead, manganese, nickel, selenium and zinc are listed in the NPRI with no specific CAS RNs. Vanadium is listed with a CAS RN In 2011, Brigus Gold exceeded the NPRI use reporting thresholds and thus was required to report releases. The facility s NPRI ID is In 2011, Brigus Gold employed 76 full time employees (equivalent). The NAICS codes applicable to the facility are: Two-digit: 21 Mining & Oil & Gas Extraction Four-digit: 2122 Metal Ore Mining Six-digit: Gold & Silver Ore Mining The public contact for the facility is Kate Wood, Manager, Investor Relations Phone: (416) Fax: (416) Address: 357 Bay Street, Suite 700 Toronto, ON ir@brigusgold.com This Toxic Reduction plan was prepared for metals (arsenic, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, lead, manganese, nickel, selenium, vanadium and zinc). Cyanides (ionic) are addressed in a separate plan. Brigus does not intend to reduce its use of arsenic, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, lead, manganese, nickel, selenium, vanadium and zinc because these substances are naturally occurring in ore from which gold is extracted and reducing their use would not benefit business growth, but Brigus is committed to ensuring their processing, emission and disposal are handled in a safe and responsible manner. While Brigus does not intend to reduce the use of the aforementioned metals, technologies that may limit environmental releases of these substances will be monitored and considered for implementation if proven to be technically and economically feasible. This plan summary accurately reflects the content of the toxic substance reduction plan for metals (arsenic, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, lead, manganese, nickel, selenium, vanadium and zinc), prepared on behalf of Brigus, dated 29 December 2012.
