3 cubic zirconia system Strong & Beautiful DD cubex² is a third generation zirconium oxide. It creates the foundation for the cubic zirconia system product family. A hybrid, cubic/tetragonal crystal structure and with its perfect fit for monolithic restorations, it ensures an extra high level of translucency. Aesthetic requirements, as known from lithium disilicate, are combined with material properties that are typical for zirconium. The result is a bio-compatible high performance ceramic with high stability and fracture toughness compared to glass ceramics. In doing so, DD cubex² enjoys a unique position among the all-ceramic systems. 3

5 cubic zirconia system What is the cost of a monolithic masterpiece? In addition to a high probability of success due to the mechanical advantages, DD cubex² is characterised by an improved, economic efficiency in comparison to other CAD materials. DD cubex² is optimised for standard, fast zirconium milling strategies and it does not have to be grinded wet like most of the glass or hybrid ceramics. This lowers the risk of faulty work, particular the risk of chipping at the edge is minimised. 6 As strong as zirconium dioxide As beautiful as lithium disilicate DD cubex² is not be understood as a replacement for the high-strength 3Y- and 4Y-TZP ceramics. In fact it increases the aesthetic tolerance, which is otherwise only common in glass ceramics, to up to three-unit bridges including molars. Double strength compared to a lithium disilicate offers security and long-term stability. 7 cubic zirconia system Full contour zirconia is the No. 1 choice From the beginning we have been convinced that zirconium oxide has tremendous potential in the dental field. In order to give our customers the opportunity, to work sophisticated, aesthetically and profitable, we developed the cubic zirconia system. With its great advantages, the acceptance for full monolithic zirconia is increasing at a different speed in different countries. According to a current survey (2016) among 176 dental laboratories, 56% of all digital restorations are full contour crowns and bridges. This is an 11% increase compared to the previous year. Of these, 74% were produced from zirconium oxide, 23% from lithium disilicate and 3% from other material (Source: LMT s 2016 Digital Materials Survey, LMT Research Dept).
