The company has earned an outstanding reputation and continues to be a leader in this field, as a result of meeting the customer s needs with the highest quality products and services. We are leaders in the production of forging oriented to the Energy (80%) and Nuclear field, in fact we are certified ASME III. We produce for all the companies of the field: Europe, America and Asia. In particular, we produce steam, gas, hydraulic and other turbine forgings, with all the most sophisticated and demanded steels. 3 forge monchieri raw material and cutting We produce austenitic and ferritic steels, superalloys and non metal alloys such as titanium and others. We are equipped with 11 saws for ingot cutting, sectioning and separation forging cutting with a capability up to 3500 mm diameter and 6000 mm length. raw material and cutting 5

4 FORGINGS Three hydraulic Presses with capacities of 12000, 5000 and 2000 tons and one ring rolling-mill, are used for production. 7 heat treatment HEAT TREATMENT Equipment, experience, research, personalizations and high quality performances are the result of well-established skills in the heat treatment processes of the materials. Each furnace is fitted with a computerised control system, to perform the following: - Post Forging Annealing - Annealing - Normalising & Tempering - Quench & Tempering - Solution Heat Treatment - Stress Relieving 13

10 QUALITY CONTROL - Macrographic Inspection - Jominy Test - Ultrasonic Inspection - Magnetic Particle Inspection - Liquid Penetrating Inspection - Endoscope Inspection - Residual stresses inspection - Drop weight test - Corrosion test - Heat Stability Test With the aim of certifying the characteristics the product guarantees, all tests are performed in our laboratories. The equipment is constantly updated in order to let us carry out all controls with complete independence. 12 forge monchieri Integrate System All the activities concerning manufacturing and control are carried out under an integrated management system in compliance with, ASME III, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS18001; ISO 9001:2008 (since 1990). The company works in accordance with the following National/International Standards and Technical Rules: UNI, DIN, AFNOR, BS, ASTM, ASME, API, NACE and TÜV. Furthermore we are regulated by the following institutions of control/audit/inspection: LLOYD SREGISTER, DET NORSKE VERITAS, ISPESL, FERROVIE DELLO STATO, REGISTRO NAVALE ITALIANO, BUREAU VERITAS, TÜV, E.D.F. and APAVE.
