7 LOW PROFILE MECHANISM UP Resin & LP-LS Additives are in a liquid homogeneous single phase Simplified version!! UP Resin start to polymerize and with the increase of the temperature LP-LS Additives expand UP Resin phase during polymerization become incompatible with LPA/LS phase Phase separation (UP Resin / LP-LS Additive) occurs During polymerization resin cannot shrink because of the expansion of thermoplastic LP-LS additive At completed polymerization temperature decrease UP Resin is fully polimerized and cannot shrink/change any more Thermoplastics LP-LS additives contract (formation of microvoids) Τ Τ Τ 7
