1 N3A/N3D Rockwell Bench Tester with analogue display (N3A) or digital display and network integration possibilities (N3D) N3A N3D High efficiency and low cost The N3 family consists of economic and highly efficient bench top hardness testers, suitable for fast and reliable measurements. The testers are targeted for basic Rockwell measurements, but are also capable of testing Vickers Depth Difference Measurement (HVT), Brinell Depth difference measurements (HBT) and Plastics Testing. The basic N3A allows for direct read out on an analogue dial gauge, whereas the more advanced N3D offers digital readout as well as data export and network integration possibilities. The loads and indenters can be individually adapted to suit your particular requirements. Test loads available: 5/13.5/15/30/31.25/36.5/45/60/ 62.5/98/100/150/187.5 kg f. 2 Customised test loads and easy handling. High efficiency - low cost Simple operation Loading (pre-loads and main loads) are easily applied by means of a lever: 1. Application of pre-load 2. Application of main load 3. Application of 2nd pre-load 4. Return to initial position A read-out of the hardness value will appear on the digital display (N3D) or on the dial gauge (N3A). N3D - digital and convenient Available test methods and conversions are easily selected and stored in the intuitive screen menus. Measured values can be converted into a variety of test methods. Hardness minimum and maximum limits can be selected and stored for easy display of good/no-good values (LOW, HIGH, OK) enabling the operator of detecting samples inside or outside the acceptable hardness range. The menus are available in five standard languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian. The power supply takes place either via main socket or via PC/ laptop through USB-port. Analogue Display via Dial Gauge (N3A) Digital Display (N3D) Possibility of testing cylindrical and spherical samples In real life the samples are rarely flat or parallel. Often you face difficult sample geometries, for instance round samples, making it difficult to obtain correct readings and/or adequate support. These odd shaped samples are however easily tested with the N3 hardness testers. In case of round and cylindrical sample surfaces the diameter of the sample can be directly entered in the machine software and the correction value is automatically applied to the measurement value (N3D) fully according to international standards. Furthermore, a number of different test anvils suitable for round and cylindrical samples are available - for optimal support during testing (N3A/N3D). Data export and management (N3D) As traceability and data management becomes increasingly important it is often crucial to have the ability to store and retrieve measurement data. With the ecos Basis software option the N3D allows you to manage your test data effectively. Measured hardness values can be exported to the ecos Basis software via the RS232 serial or USB interface and easily managed. Comprehensive data management, reporting and statistical functions are available. Data can also be exported to file (.csv or.txt) directly on a USB flash disk. N3A - traditional read-out on dial gauge The hardness readings are directly displayed on an analogue dial gauge. Based on the test method selected there are three coloured scales printed on the dial gauge displaying the corresponding hardness values of the test carried out all fully according to norms. If you however want the flexibility to easily change between different test loads (for instance if you are running HRA, HRB and HRC) then option b) is recommended.
