3 RUSAL Today: UC RUSAL is the world s largest aluminium producer, accounting for approimately 7% of global aluminium production and 7% of global alumina production in UC RUSAL is vertically integrated to a high degree, having secured substantial bauite and alumina production capacity. UC RUSAL's assets include over 40 smelters and production facilities in 13 countries, across 5 continents. The Company s current capacity is 4.5 million tonnes of aluminium, 15.3 million tonnes of alumina and 22.3 million tonnes of bauite. UC RUSAL employs 61,000 people. Value added products account for about half of total metal produced. UC RUSAL owns a 27.8% stake in MMC Norilsk Nickel, the world's largest producers of nickel, palladium, platinum and copper.
