7 5) Technology Production of straight EGO Stainless Steel Tubes: Extremely precise production techniques guarantee the high performance of EGO Stainless Steel Tubes: TIG welding with welding factor V = 1,0 Annealing within inert gas atmosphere All diameters smaller than diameter 5,1 mm can be produced by drawing Leakage test Various tube end treatments for example Burr-free cutting, Inside and/or outside countersink deburring Low burr sawing Brush deburring Vibratory grinding Defined roughness of welding seam Defined increase of inner welding seam page 7 of 10

8 5) Technology Specification of tube end treatments METHOD LOW BURR SAWING VIBRATORY GRINDING BRUSH DEBURRING COUNTERSINK DEBURRING BURR-FREE CUTTING Length 7-12,000 mm mm 150-1,500 mm ,000 mm mm Outside diameter Length tolerances 2-22 mm 2-22 mm 4-22 mm 5-22 mm 1-14 mm ± ± 20.0mm mm ± ± 0.5mm ± ± 20.0mm ± ± 0.3mm Cross section 45 inside & outside Special customer requests for tolerances can be checked on demand (tooling costs) page 8 of 10

9 5) Quality information Quality assurance Strict controls accompany each phase of the production. We rely on a modern and well-equipped laboratory to monitor the quality. Diverse methods for analysing the physical, metallographical and chemical properties of materials are available. These methods especially include: Tensile tests: yield point, tensil strength, elongation Chemical analyses with an stationary metal analyser and ICP OES Hardness tests Measurements of roughness Material tests with digital processing of images by means of a scanning electron microscope X-ray tests Extensive investigations into corrosion resistance page 9 of 10

10 6) Quality information Certificates We produce and deliver our products according to the below standards DIN EN ISO (in regard to ISO/TS 16949) DIN EN ISO DIN EN Approval E.G.O. is approved as a manufacturer of tubes used in pressure vessel applications.
