2 Floating Valves 00 C / 75 F 5 C / 000 F 50 C / 00 F Ordering code system Introduction Metal seated ball valve Habonim s tough line of metal seated valves excels in the harshest industrial environments, where valve failures can damage plant eciency, reduce protability and endanger safety. Habonim s meticulously engineered metal seated valve can withstand the harshest applications and process conditions, including extreme high temperature, high pressure and abrasive medium. Careful metallurgical selection of all valve parts, the development of special surface, including and hard coatings, and thorough analyses of mechanical strength and thermal expansion ensure that the Habonim MTM line is the best choice for industry s toughest applications. The lower temperature range from -0 C (-7 F) to 00 C (75 F) undergoes Habonim s unique surface treatment, LTN (Low Temperature lasma carbo-nitriding). LTN is a cost eective hardening system for austenitic stainless steel, which provides a minimum thickness of 0 microns and more than triple (>HRC) the natural hardness of the base material. For the higher temperature range from 00 C (75 F) and up to 5 C (000 F) Habonim oers various HVOF spray solutions based on chromium and tungsten carbides. For the even higher temperature range from 5 C (000 F) and up to 50 C (00 F) Habonim uses SME B. listed forged bar material for the construction of the valve pressure-containing elements. For the severe abrasive conditions of the pulp and paper industry, Habonim oers also a minimum of.5 mm thick, hard stellite coating. Each coating is specically engineered to the customer s application in order to provide outstanding resistance to abrasion and corrosion for a lifetime of eective operation in harsh applications. Each ball and seat sub-assembly is accurately machined, ground and then mate-lapped for a perfect match. The complete valve assembly demonstrates high repeatability in terms of sealing (Rate B - factory tested), low torque and smooth operation at various temperatures and pressures.
