2 Çimsa Calcium Aluminate Cement Refractory Applications

3 is a Calcium Aluminate Cement that has been produced for more than 10 years by Çimsa in compliance with the TS EN standard. Owing to its superior resistance against abrasion and high heats, its unique characteristic of strength and sulphate resistance, it is a preferred product both in domestic and foreign markets. Started to be produced in 2002 in Mersin Factory, keeps its feature of being a product that is preferred by numerous domestic and foreign companies. Çimsa is one of the biggest exporters and producers in this field and presently conducts the sales of to more than 50 countries of the world.

5 Resistance to High Temperatures Owing to the high alumina content, ISIDAÇ can resist up to 1300 C, whereas the Portland cement can resist relatively much lower temperatures. presents an economic and essential solution with this feature for the industrial flooring that is subject to high temperature. High and Fast Gain of Strength, different from the ordinary Portland Cement, starts the strength gain at the 6th hour and reaches the final strength at the 24th hour. With the strength value and strength gain speed that are beyond ordinary Portland Cements, presents the high strength in a very short time in the manufacturing. 6 Acidic Resistance has high acidic resistance. Portland Cements are not resistant to acidic medium due to the fact that silicates in their structures start dissolution below ph 7. provides high acidic resistance due to the aluminate phases, even at very low ph values. Owing to its structure, it presents long term resistance on the floors of the olive oil pools and chicken farms. With this property, in the mediums that are subject to sulphate effect, it has a sulphate resistance that far exceeds the Portland Cements. The abrasion resistance reaches higher levels in the event that the hardness degrees of the aggregates used are selected appropriately. The recommended aggregate type is clinker. Portland Cement Abrasion** 17% 31% *The mass loss was calculated by keeping the concrete produced with for 6 hours in the 98% H2SO4 solution in the manner ph value of which is given in the table. **The abrasion amount is the values obtained by turning the 5x5x5 cm cubes in the Los Angeles device for 500 cycles.

7 Low Temperature Applications During the winter months in which the production amounts drop, provides superior results even in the applications in cold-weather thanks to the high hydration speed it has. As a result of the high heat that emerges subsequent to the commencement of the hydration, it presents successful results even in the productions realized under zero degree. Things to be Paid Attention in the Application The tools and equipments should be clean and the water should be potable. The granulometry of the sand and aggregate to be used should be appropriate. In the based applications, the water amount should be kept at minimum. It should be thought that will give different reactions in different admixtures from Portland Cement and the site applications should be performed subsequent to the laboratory trials. The productions carried out with should be cured under the appropriate curing conditions and hot curing process should never be applied. The bricks should be wetted prior to the application and it must be ensured that fluid of the mortar made with is not absorbed by the bricks. On the fireplaces and barbecues, aggregate or chammot having high thermal resistance should be used for the hottest parts. Our Quality and Compliance Documents
