1 SEPTEMBER 20, 2018 SARAMA RESOURCES EXTENDS STRIKE LENGTH OF NEW DISCOVERY ON THE DJARKADOUGOU PROPERTY VANCOUVER, CANADA. Sarama Resurces Ltd. ( Sarama r the Cmpany ) (TSX-V:SWA) annunces that a cmbined reverse circulatin ( RC ) and aircre ( AC ) drilling prgram has extended the strike length f shallw znes f gld mineralisatin at the Zanawa Prspect, 4km nrth-east f the Bndi Depsit (r Bndi ) n Sarama s Djarkadugu (4) Prperty ( Djarkadugu r the Prperty ) in suth-western Burkina Fas. The drill results demnstrate the ptential t add t the existing histrical estimate f mineral resurces at the Bndi Depsit (1) and strengthens Sarama s reginal develpment ptins fr the ThreeBee Prject and the Cmpany s adjining Suth Hundé Prject. Highlights 200m f RC and 1,500m f AC drilling was cmpleted at the Zanawa Prspect ( Zanawa ), building n results frm earlier recnnaissance drilling and extending the strike length f mineralisatin t 1km. Zanawa remains pen-ended t the nrth, suth and t depth. Drilling at Zanawa intercepted intervals f shallw mineralisatin, several f which cntain significant gld grades. Highlighted dwnhle intersectins include (refer t Appendices A and B fr full results): 3.85g/t Au frm 5m in hle DJR0029; 1.44g/t Au frm 1m and 1.24g/t Au frm 67m in hle DJR0030; 4.54g/t Au frm 15m in hle DJA0141; and 0.74g/t Au frm 7m and 0.98g/t Au frm 27m in hle DJA0159. Drilling at Zanawa cnfirms that mineralisatin is assciated with a mafic vlcanic - intermediate intrusin cntact that extends fr at least 3km acrss the nrth-eastern part f the Djarkadugu Prperty. 1,300m f RC drilling n the suthern limits f the Bndi Depsit extends the SE Splay Prspect ( SE Splay ) t the suth-east and identifies several high-grade znes which remain pen at depth. Highlighted dwnhle intersectins include (refer t Appendix A fr full results): 4.71g/t Au frm 51m and 19.86g/t Au (EOH) frm 69m in hle DJR0013; 2.43g/t Au frm 62m in hle DJR0015; and 3.46g/t Au frm 44m in hle DJR m f RC drilling in the suthern extensin f the main Bndi Depsit has extended this zne t depth. Highlighted dwnhle intersectins include (refer t Appendix A fr full results): 1.50g/t Au frm 86m in hle DJR0004; and 1.93g/t Au frm 134m in hle DJR0006. Sarama s President and CEO, Andrew Dinning, cmmented: We are extremely pleased with the results f this drill prgram, which has demnstrated the ptential t add additinal free-milling and high-grade gld unces t the histrical resurce base n the Djarkadugu Prperty. The intersectin f brad znes f high-grade xide mineralisatin in areas separate t the Bndi Depsit prvides substantial encuragement as des the drilling cmpleted in the suthern extents f the knwn resurce area.

2 Reverse Circulatin and Aircre Drilling Sarama s recent fcus has been n develping drill targets alng strike and als away frm the Bndi Depsit n Djarkadugu. Djarkadugu is ne f fur prperties cnstituting the ThreeBee Prject which is situated within the suthern part f the prspective Hundé Belt in suth-west Burkina Fas (refer t Figure 1). The re-interpretatin f the gelgy underlying the Prperty includes the recgnitin f multiple reginal shear znes with secndary fault splays within a mixed vlcanic and vlcan-sedimentary package cut by late intermediate t felsic intrusins. These gelgic features highlight a number f explratin targets with gd ptential t hst gld mineralisatin in additin t that previusly utlined at the Bndi Depsit (refer t Figure 2). The reprted results are frm a drilling prgram cnducted in H that targeted: 1) the Zanawa Prspect, a new discvery lying 4km t the nrth-east f the main Bndi Depsit; 2) the suthern strike extent f the Bndi Depsit; and 3) a suth-east zne representing a distinct splay frm the main nrth-suth trending Bndi Depsit. A ttal f 46 aircre hles, fr a ttal f 1,500m, and 28 RC hles, fr a ttal f 2,200m, were drilled. Full results are included in Appendices A and B. Zanawa Prspect Of principal interest was shallw, xide mineralisatin that was first intersected in an earlier, recnnaissance AC drill prgram apprximately 4km t the nrth-east f the main, nrtherly-trending Bndi Depsit (refer t Figure 2 and Sarama news release dated September 12, 2017). The mineralisatin is interpreted t be prximal t the cntact zne f an intermediate intrusive unit that cuts a reginally extensive band f mafic vlcanic rcks. Gld mineralisatin is assciated with quartz veins and veinlets within wider znes f silica-pyrite-sericite-albite alteratin similar in many respects t mineralisatin within the Bndi Depsit t the suth-west. Gld mineralisatin at Zanawa strikes nrth and can be traced acrss several east-west riented drill fences. It is parallel t an intrusive cntact highlighted by gld-in-sil anmalism. Gld mineralisatin f significance has been fund n almst all drill fences that were spaced ut ver 1km and the zne is pen alng strike and t depth. Highlighted drill results fr Zanawa include: 3.85g/t Au frm 5m in hle DJR0029; 1.44g/t Au frm 1m and 1.24g/t Au frm 67m in hle DJR0030; 4.54g/t Au frm 15m in hle DJA0141; and 0.74g/t Au frm 7m and 0.98g/t Au frm 27m in hle DJA0159. Whilst drill density is limited and des nt yet allw detailed interpretatin f mineralised lde gemetry, the presence f wide drill intervals f mineralisatin in successive hles n several drill fences (refer t Figure 3) highlights the explratin ptential at Zanawa and warrants further drilling. Of further interest is a target zne t the nrth-nrth-east f current drilling that is defined by a gld-in-sil anmaly and a strng cincident resistivity-chargeability induced plarisatin anmaly prximal t an interpreted reginallyextensive structure (refer t Figure 2). A data gap exists between the Zanawa Prspect and the target area t the nrth-nrth-east that will require further investigatin t see if the tw prspects might be part f a larger, cntinuus mineralised system. Suth-East Splay Zne The SE Splay is a previusly-identified sutheast-striking mineralised structure that trends away frm the main nrthstriking Bndi Depsit in the suthern part f the depsit area (refer t Figure 2). This structure was targeted fr drilling due t histric drill infrmatin and evidence f significant grade alng the splay structure. 2

3 Sarama has extended this mineralised structure t mderate depth and further t the suth-east and intersected highgrade gld mineralisatin in several hles drilled beneath histric drill hles, including the fllwing results: 4.71g/t Au frm 51m and 19.86g/t Au (EOH) frm 69m in hle DJR0013; 2.43g/t Au frm 62m in hle DJR0015; and 3.46g/t Au frm 44m in hle DJR0016. The high-grade intercepts in hle DJR0013 are within, and prximal t, a granitid dyke that cuts mafic vlcanic hst rcks. Further drilling will be carried ut in rder t fllw-up n these encuraging results received t date. Suthern Extensin f the Bndi Depsit The suthern extensin f the nrth-suth-striking Bndi Depsit (refer t Figure 2) was tested by RC drilling that cnfirms the cntinuatin f mineralisatin alng strike and t depth. Significant intercepts include: 1.50g/t Au frm 86m in hle DJR0004; and 1.93g/t Au frm 134m in hle DJR0006. Mineralisatin is spatially assciated with a nrth-striking, mafic vlcanic vlcan-sedimentary cntact and prximal t a nrth-striking fault. This zne will be further investigated as it is pen alng strike and t depth. Lking frward, Sarama will cntinue its tw-prnged strategy f systematic reginal explratin fr discvery f new mineralisatin and secndly, validatin f the large amunt f histrical data cncentrated in the Bndi Depsit area with a view t generating extensinal targets. NOTES DRILLING Drilling results are quted as dwnhle intersectins. True widths and rientatin f mineralisatin intersected by the drilling are nt yet well understd. The reprted cmpsites fr the drilling were determined using a cut-ff grade f 0.30g/t Au t select significant and anmalus intersectins, with a maximum f 2m internal dilutin being incrprated int the cmpsite where apprpriate. N tp-cuts were applied t assay grades. Islated mineralised intersectins less than 2m in length have nt been reprted. Gld assays fr the drilling were undertaken by the Bigs Glbal labratries in Ouagadugu, Burkina Fas. Assays are determined by fire assay methds using a 50 gram charge, lead cllectin and an AAS finish with lwer detectin limits f 0.005g/t Au (Bigs Glbal). The drilling was generally designed using west-east azimuths, accrding t prgram aims and expected mineralizatin rientatin, dipping at apprximately and were f variable length. Hles were spaced at varius intervals accrding t targeting intent. All aircre hles were sampled at regular 2m dwnhle intervals. Intersectin xidatin state classificatin is based n visual lgging f the drillhles. Sarama undertakes gelgical sampling and assays in accrdance with its quality assurance/quality cntrl prgram which includes the use f certified reference materials as well as field duplicates.
