3 CoroDrill when tolerance matters If you are machining holes with diameters between and mm ( inch) and have close hole tolerance demands (IT9), CoroDrill 808 will get the job done. It performs well in the toughest of materials such as zirconium-alloyed materials, Inconel, and low carbon steels. CoroDrill 808 produces high quality holes in depths up to 150 times the diameter. This drill is commonly used for those components that require close tolerances such as heat exchanger plates in the energy industry, axles and engine blocks for automotive, and for primary metals. Sandvik Machining Technology develops the advanced materials available for the energy industry which are the same materials commonly machined with CoroDrill 808. Sanicro is one such material. It is an austenitic nickel-chromium-iron alloy commonly used in steam generators in nuclear power plants. This material is highly corrosion resistant in caustic environments and has excellent performance in nitric acid solutions which is a challenging material to machine. This is a two-dimensional patterned array used for storage and display of various types of information, such as a measurement protocol.
