2 Steel bushing This bearing is a 3-layer bearing wrapped of steel-sheets with a layer of PTFE/lead. This model is mainly intended for oscillating movements, bearing places with often occurring starts and stops, or when minimal dryfriction is tried to be obtained and when greasing is out of the question. Owing to the fact that the friction is very low. This can be used without additional lubrication. This is resistant to most common mediums. The thin layer which makes up the running surface should be well protected to avoid mounting damages and also protected from heat e.g. welding. 3 Self-lubricated composite bushing This bushing is a 3-layer bearing, wrapped of steel-sheets with a layer of POM. The standard bearing is fitted with lubrication indents on the running surface. These lubrication indents serve as lubrication reservoirs and are aimed to be filled with grease before mounting the shaft. This model is a boundary lubricated bearing which is especially suitable for constructions, where medium loads and relatively slow rotating or oscillating movements are occurring. The thin layer, which constitute the running surface of the bearing, ought to be well protected to avoid mounting damages and also for heating from e.g. welding. Additional lubrication ought to be done through the shafts or radial through the housings. All customary greases can be used, but greases with additives of graphite or molybdenum-disulphide must be avoided. This model need in most of cases very little additional lubrication. 4 Cast Bronze with graphite inserts This bearing with or without flange are made of casted bronze material with special embedded solid lubricant. The base metal is aimed for high loads and the solid lubricant makes it possible to use B50 bearings without additional lubrication. This models show excellent performance without lubrication under conditions of low speeds and extreme high or low temperatures. The lubrication reservoirs are dispersed in a special way over the bearing surface, therefore the whole bearing surface is lubricated when the movement occurs. These lubrication reservoirs cover about 25-30% of the sliding surface. 5 Bronze turned bearings Turned bearings are often technically and economically favorable bearing solutions. They are being turned from centrifugal casted semi-finished products. High load capability, low weight, good corrosion resistance and small radial diameters are some good properties for turned bearings. Material: Turned bearings and bearing elements can be manufactured in several copper alloys. The material will be chosen to meet the specific needs for each construction. This is important to reach the optimal performance for the life time, service and total cost. TOLERANCES: Turned bearings can be manufactured with tighter tolerances than wrapped thin walled bearings. The tolerance can be adapted to the needs of the construction. Therefore it is possible to reach the clearance which is wanted. DESIGN: Turned bearings are always manufactured according to customer drawings. Therefore the bearing can be designed to meet the needs of the specific construction. The design of lubrication grooves, quantity of the lubrication holes, tolerances and chamfering can be manufactured according to customer needs. LUBRICATION: Turned bearings from copper alloys are aimed to be additionally lubricated. 6 Bronze self-lubricated porous bearings Structure The base material for sintered parts such as sliding bearings or other formed parts are iron, bronze, iron with bronze and other metal in powder form. The bearings are wrapped of a cold formable homogenous bronze, which because of this will obtain exceptional material properties. The execution of the flange permits that the bearing also can carry axial loads. The standard sizes are fitted with holes, which are dispersed in a special way over the whole bearing - surface. These holes serve as lubricant reservoirs i.a. to rapidly build up a lubrication film in the moment of start and therewith reduce the start friction. These holes even lengthen significantly the lubrication intervals.
