10 ENCLOSURE: 07 Mass balance and chemical reaction of the product 1. Copper Phthalo Cyanine Blue: Manufacturing Process: Charge ortho nitro toluene (solvent) in glass lined vessel. Charge required quantity of Phthalic Anhydride, Urea in a Glass Vessel and give the desire temperature. Heating the content to higher temperature and then add of catalyst(ammonium Molybdate) and Cuprous Chloride to it. Raise the temperature of the reaction mass at desire temperature and maintain this temperature for 5/6 hours. Scrub the ammonia and carbon dioxide gas evolved during the process to water scrubber to get the solution of ammonium carbonate. After reaction is over, draw the sample and check for complete conversion of Phthalic Anhydride to CPC Blue Crude. Discharge the batch into Horizontal Rotary Vacuum Dryer (HRVD) and remove the solvent under vacuum. After complete removal of solvent add water to the Horizontal Rotary Vacuum Dryer (HRVD) and transfer the material to treatment tank. Add Spent Sulphuric Acid and Water and raise the temperature to the total mass for Acid treatment. Filter the material through filter press and wash the wet Cake by Water. Dry the material using Spin Flash Dryer (SFD) and collect the dried powder in bags. Chemical Reaction

12 2. Ammonium Sulphate Manufacturing Process Take 4323 kgs. Ammonium Carbonate Scrubber water in neutralization Tank and neutralize with sulphuric acid (67%)- 444 kgs and 5264 kg Spent Sulphuric Acid form CPC Plant. Then Filter Neutralize solution and collect the filtrate in copper recovery tank. Then add Sodium Sulphide 1 kg and stire. Then filter and send the Ammonium Sulphate filtrate to MEE Plant. Then condensate from MEE Plant collect in Tank for use in process. The Solid mass coming out of the MEE Plant send to Crystallizer to get final product Ammonium Sulphate. 13 3. Alpha Blue/ Pigment Alpha Blue 15: Manufacturing Process Copper Phthalo cyanine blue is charge in reactor. Then add 98% sulphuric acid and thoroughly mixed in a vessel to obtain a homogenous paste. The temperature of the vessel is cooled to 50 C. The contents are dumped into another vessel containing water. This is done to reduce sulphuric acid concentration. The concentrate liquor obtained from the previous step is Filter and wash with water and collect the Cake. The Cake tanke in another vessel and make slurry with water and neutralize with Caustic Lye and add Emulsifier then heat to desire temperature and filter and wash. The wet cake of finished product is finally sent down for SFD. Chemical Reaction: CPC Crude Polymorphic form ALPHA BLUE
