2 ECCENTRIC PLUG VALVE FLOCENTRIC TM The FLOCENTRIC Eccentric Plug Valve is manufactured using CNC equipment in a world class facility using the finest materials available. Designed by a first class team of dedicated valve specialists.. Manufacturing facilities are certified to ISO Complies with AWWA C517 Rated Class 125 at 175 CWP -2 to 12, 150 CWP-14 to 24 Rated Class 250 at 400 CWP -3 to 12, 300 CWP-14 to 24. Primary Materials Body The FLOCENTRIC body, bonnet are manufactured of Cast Iron conforming to ASTM 126 Class B. Flanges conform fully to ANSI B16.1 Class 125 or Class 250 Mechanical joint ends conform to AWWA C111/ANSI A21.11 Other flange types are available for specific market requirements. Seat FLOCENTRIC seats are nickel welded using 91% nickel weld material to ensure excellent resistance to flow erosion and corrosive attack. The low profile seat ensures extended seat life and reduces operating torques. Stem Seals Self adjusting seals are designed to give excellent resistance to both pressure and vacuum and are of the field-proven and reliable chevron type. Bearings Bearings are manufactured from high grade sintered, oil impregnated, 316 stainless steel for extended service under demanding conditions. Torque is reduced by the use of upper and lower PTFE thrust washers. Plug Manufactured from high grade Ductile Iron in accordance with ASTM A536 Grade for better pressure resistance under all operating conditions. Entry of abrasive materials is prevented by controlled compression of the PTFE thrust washers. Coating Standard coating interior and exterior Tnemec NSF 61 High build epoxy.

3 Bonnet Seal Manufactured from high grade elastomers including EPDM, Nitrile, Neoprene and Viton. Flow The FLOCENTRIC round port valve is designed to give excellent full flow when fully open and provides reduced turbulence and pressure drop with all forms of media including abrasive sludge and slurry. Installation and Operation FLOCENTRIC Plug Valves have the same face to face dimensions as traditional gate valves in the sizes 3 to 12 and may be installed without modification to existing piping systems. Installation with the seat in the downstream position is recommended but the valve is suitable for flow in either direction depending on the nature of the media. Please specify when ordering. Valves are supplied with adjustable travel stops. Valves may be equipped with various types of gear operators, actuators or extension stems without removal of the bonnet. Replacement of the stem seals and removal of the bonnet can be accomplished in-line without disturbing the piping system components. ELASTOMER GUIDE Material Temperature ratings ( ºF) Buna-N 14ºto 180º EPDM -4º to 248º Viton -4º to 399º Uses Buna-N (NBR) has a high tensile strength, excellent resistance to abrasion, low compression set and very good aging characteristics under severe operating conditions. Buna N is a good, general purpose material suited for most general services such as warm and cold water, vacuum, salt solutions, alkaline solutions, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Buna-N is not recommended for strong oxidizing agents, nitrated hydrocarbons, ketones, acetates, phenols, aldehydes, or for gasolines which have additives. EPDM is a good, general-services synthetic rubber for use in hot-water systems and those containing ketones, alcohols, phosphate esters and glycols. EPDM is not recommended for hydrocarbons-based oils, minerals or solvents. Generally, it has better heat and chemical resistance than Buna-N. Retention of mechanical properties at high temperature is an important feature, It is also has excellent resistance to oils, fuels, lubricants and most mineral acids and aromatic hydrocarbons.
