Original BIOTRONIK fractal coating increases the bio-effective surface area by more than one thousand times and assures optimal sensing characteristics. Maintaining the energy transfer between electrode and myocardium guarantees low chronic thresholds. Steroid elution reduces the inflammation process at the fixation site resulting in low post implant short term thresholds. µm All BIOTRONIK leads are using dexamethasone acetate (DXA) as standard steroid elution., µm Two conductors co-radial design; Provides the ability to reduce the diameter and increase flexibility to a maximum. Protek shock coils are embedded into the insulation material preventing fibrosis and tissue ingrowth, enabeling complication-free, smooth lead extraction. Protek shock coils offer a maximal cross-sectional area for enhanced energy discharge while protecting the coil against tissue ingrowth. 4 5
