Unscrew the left-hnd connector nd slowly pour the mnometric liquid to zero point on the grdution. Remount the connector without overtightening. Connect the mnometer with the Ø 5x8 mm crystl tue to the pressure or depression source to e checked. Check eforehnd tht the slide strip is t its lowest level. Pour the liquid in the column using the spout. Do not overfill. Never go eyond the NL line t the middle of the slide strip. Remount the connector nd screw the milled hed of the other connector ck down. OPERATION Hng up the mnometer verticlly y the mounting hook or hold mnully. Open to the ir y slckening the milled heds of the 2 vlves (one turn is sufficient). Push one of the ends of the connecting tue firmly onto the right-hnd vlve. Push the other end of the tue onto the pressure point of the pipeline or the instrument which hs to e checked. Under gs pressure, the liquid flls in the right-hnd column nd rises in the left-hnd one. If there is too rpid n inrush of gs which ctutes the sfety vlve, strt the opertion gin nd e sure to squeeze the connecting tue s required so s to enle slow gs entry. If the sfety vlve is gin ctuted, this is due to the fct tht pressure is significntly eyond the mnometer's mesurement rnge. When the liquid hs settled, slide the grduted strip so s to ring the zero mrk opposite the right-hnd tue's liquid level (lowest level). The grdution corresponding to the height of the liquid in the left-hnd tue indictes the exct gs pressure. Close off the 2 vlves securely fter opertion. IMPORTANT : Only VOLT1S liquid will ensure precise mesurement (slide scle grdution corresponding to the density of this liquid). Mximum sttic pressure : 8 rs. Ref.
