Wed Description: EIND 4320 Manufacturing II Credit: 3 Semester Hours Forming and shaping processing and equipment Machining Surface technology Purpose: This course is designed to provide the student with the understanding of production of metal forming processes, machining and surface technologies including the load calculations related to tooling and equipment requirements. Learning Objectives: Students will be able to exhibit and have understanding in the following: theory of metal forming engineering theory and practice of rolling of metals theory of metal forging theory of extrusion theory and practice of sheet-metal forming theory and practice of abrasive machine and surface finishing equipment theory of surface technology and coating Textbook: Manufacturing Engineering and Technology (5 th Edition) by Serope Kalpakjian (Author), Steven R. Schmid (Author) Reference: DeGarmo, Black, Kohser, Materials and Processes in Manufacturing, 1997 Edition.
