About us: We believe that a good idea starts with a pencil and paper. In this way, an idea can be carefully crafted. Our strength lies in project-related, cost-effective solutions for exterior shading systems. We will plan (including the substructure), deliver, install, and test for you. We are here to support you from initial ideas through project finalization. Our subdivisions of materials include: - Aluminium louvres - Glass louvres - Sheet metal louvres (perforated metal, expanded metal etc.) - Special solutions All of our solutions have this in common: they function regardless of weather conditions. The solar shading systems are placed in front of the facade. Due to this, a high reduction of heat input is achieved. All of the constructions are made so that they are as low-maintenance as possible and have a long service life. Consultation as well as a proposal bid are non-binding and free of charge, which certainly counts for something. / Kasernenstr. 6 / Burg -4-

Sheet metal blades, the perfect mix: creativity meets craft When it comes to sun screen systems with sheet metal blades, the possibilities are endless: - through the selection of materials, e.g. aluminum, high-grade steel, or tin. - through the shape of perforation: square, round, slotted, or meshing. - through the size of the perforation. - through the distance between perforations. - through the positioning of perforations: in rows, offset, or to obtain a specific design. - through edging or partitioning with or without perforation. - through subsequent surface coating. / Kasernenstr. 6 / Burg -5-

Customized effects through unique forms: Different shapes can be achieved by bending and stamping the edges of sheets. As an example, curved shapes can be obtained by arranging many consecutive folds. / Kasernenstr. 6 / Burg -6-

Purposefully set effects: Through the selected method of perforating sheet metals, even when the facade is closed, you can acquire interesting lighting and transparency appearances. Specific effects can be obtained through the shape and distance between perforations in the sheet metal. In addition to perforated sheet metals, it is conceivable to apply expanded metals, structured sheets metals, etc. It is also possible to substitute by using textiles. / Kasernenstr. 6 / Burg -7-

Mechanism: As a standard feature, an exposed mechanism is used. The systems are designed to be as low-maintenance as possible. However, in the event of failure, an easy exchange of components will be considered in order to accommodate cost efficiency. In addition to the robust design and ease of use, a simple check-up can also be arranged. Actuators: Linear actuators with integrated and adjustable limit switches. Nominal Voltage: 230 V 230 V Power Consumption: 0,55 A 0,8 A Operating Type: KB - 5 min S3-15% Protection type: IP 65 IP 65 Control systems: The following is possible: - simple switch circuits (Open-Close-Stop) - Sensor Control - programmable controllers according to user profiles - optional modem access for remote maintenance / Kasernenstr. 6 / Burg

Component corrosion protection: Most metallic materials change their properties when they are exposed to outdoor weathering, i.e. due to corrosion. Corrosion occurs when metal building materials react with their environment. Providing an exact account of the environment s impact as well as the resulting corrosion is not possible. However, durable corrosion protection which is in accordance with regulations and standards is easy to manufacture. The exposure to corrosion through environmental strain(s) is divided (by DIN EN ISO ) into categories depending on the environment and exposure to the elements. For establishing the environmental conditions for atmospheric conditions (C), the following corrosiveness categories have be defined: Corrosiveness Explanation Category C2 Low Rural areas, unheated buildings, in which condensation may occur, e.g. warehouses or gymnasiums. C3 Moderate Urban or industrial areas with moderate air pollution, coastal areas with low salinity, production premises with high humidity and some air pollution, e.g. food production plants, laundries, or breweries. C4 High Industrial areas, coastal areas with moderate salinity, chemical plants, swimming pools. C5-I Very High (Industry) Industrial areas with high humidity and aggressive atmospheres. C5-M Very High (Sea) Costal and offshore areas with high salinity, buildings with virtually permanent condensation and/or high air pollution. / Kasernenstr. 6 / Burg

Increased corrosion protection: Aluminum profiles provide increased protection against corrosion, specifically filiform corrosion. This can be obtained by means of pre-anodization and subsequent powder coating. These methods are mainly applied where adverse environmental conditions necessitate a higher form of corrosion protection. A distinction between the traditional coating system and a duplex process is made for steal parts. The traditional coating system consists of a base coat, at least one intermediate coat, and a top coat. The base coat is used for corrosion protection and promotes adhesion between the surface to be coated and the intermediate coating. It takes over through pigmentation (e.g. zinc-rich primer) of the fundamental corrosion protection. The intermediate coating increases the corrosion protection effect (high layer thickness) and balances out irregularities in thickness. The number of intermediate coatings depends on the requirements for the overall coating. The top coat is responsible for optical properties such as color, gloss, and reflectivity. It is also the first line of defense against UV radiation, corrosive atmospheres, chemicals, and/or abrasions. In addition to traditional coating, duplex systems have their own significant features regarding corrosion protection. They are attained by hot dip galvanization in combination with a coating system, which provides a much greater period of protection. Proper adhesion of the coating with hot dip galvanization is assumed. / Kasernenstr. 6 / Burg

Colour design of profiles: For finishing aluminum surfaces, the following two possibilities are offered: Anodizing and powder coating. Anodizing - anodized colour tones: Anodizing, or anodized oxidation, is an electrical process by which a chemically stable oxidized layer is created. The layer is hard, porous, transparent, electronically non-conducting, and is a part of the aluminum, so that it cannot peel away or spall. The oxidized layer can be colorized once it is created. The thickness of the layers can be selected. For use outdoors, a 20 micron thick layer is recommended. The tone of the colour when anodizing is dependent upon the original material and can differ depending upon the manufacturing process. Minor differences in colour hue are non-avoidable. Due of this, tolerance samples are recommended for the desired colour hue. Surface colouring is a result of the surface preparation as well as the dyeing process. Surface Preparation E0 - technically anodized E1 - sanded + anodized E3 - polished + anodized E4 - sanded, brushed + anodized E5 - sanded, polished + anodized E6 - chemically treated + anodized E2 - brushed + anodized Dyeing Process Appearance Natural Colouring (C0) / without dyeing (EV1) a clear, transparent, anodized layer, displays the natural, silver shine of aluminum, which is also classified as natural (colourless). Organic colours: champagne/light Gold (EV2), brass (EV3), Black (EV6) electrolytic colours (C31 bis C35) Nickel Silver (C31), Light Bronze (C32), Bronze (C33), Dark Bronze (C34), Black (C35) Combined Colours (C61 bis C65)* Diverse tones such as: Blue, Red, Turquoise, Green and Orange. Combination of electrolytic bronze colors with non-fading organic dyes* * mostly for small parts (ca. 300 mm) Recommendation for practical application: Aluminum alloys should be used for anodized parts that require a decorative appearance. Possible variations in color anodized aluminum parts must be glazed in adequate sizes by means of color standard values using original application material. These colorization standard values are determined for the execution of the order. While anodizing, the location and the permissibility of contact points should be obser. / Kasernenstr. 6 / Burg

Powder Coating - more than 3,800 available colours. Powder coating is a popular method for surface treatment of aluminum parts. After pretreatment, an electrically charged powder coating material is applied to the aluminum and is subsequently bonded. Thus, the method is absolutely free of solvents and resources. The colours can be selected from standard colour catalogues. There are more than 3,800 colour selections in the following catalogue: RAL-Classic indicates the classic RAL colour collection. RAL-Classic is the oldest colour collection known in Germany. It is based on the colour list from 1927 and contains 213 colour tones today. The colours are marked with a 4-digit number (i.e. RAL 9006) as well as a name (i.e. White Aluminum). RAL-Design is a newer colour system. The classification of these colours derives from the following criteria: (colour) hue, brightness, and variegation. A 7-digit colour number is given for the values for these colour traits (i.e. RAL ). The RAL-Design colour system from 1993 was edited in Today, it contains 1,625 colour tones. NCS "Natural Colour System" is a colour coding system, which relates to the way people see colours. By using NCS colours, all conceivable surface colours can be delineated and furnished with an NSC-identifier. The catalogue contains 1,950 NCS standard colour tones. The DB-Standard Colour Chart includes colour s that are used by the Deutsche Bahn (German Rail System). These colours, in contrast to the RAL-Colour Systems, contain a metallic effect pigment. There are 14 colours in this catalogue. The creation of additional colours is possible by means of sample mixing from powder suppliers. The degree of gloss must also be observed along with the colour shades. Degrees of gloss are as follows: matte, silky gloss and glossy. Lighter colours should be used in order to obtain lower emission values. Dark colors absorb more solar energy. As a result, surface temperatures of the mechanical components are higher. / Kasernenstr. 6 / Burg
