Nm/ycle to 2 Nm/ycle 6 mm to 2 mm Tailor made damping material in pad format: SL damping pad are made of a vicoelatic PUR-material. They aborb impact load extremely effectively and are alo uitable for inulating or damping vibration. The pad erie SL-3 to SL-3 are quickly adapted to the relevant type of application. Thi i in part achieved through the confi guration of the calculating tool or directly by the E pecialit engineer. Furthermore, thi i poible becaue the tandard material can be cut exactly and quickly to any cutomer requirement with our new cutting ytem. It i alo poible to obtain a ample to fi nd an optimum olution. The SL damping pad are proven impact or colliion protection. Preparation The preparation of bonding urface i of ignificant importance for the bonding trength. The urface mut be adapted to each other and available in plain, clean form. areful removal of dheive remnant, oil, fat,eparating agent, dirt, dut, cale, molding layer, protective coating, finih, paint, weat etc. Mechanical upport Stripping, bruhing, craping, grinding, andblating. hemical upport Degreaing (wahing off with greae remover), etching, priming; pay attention to chemical reitancy on the following page! In general, SL damping pad in heet form can be bonded without pretreatment. Molded part, with or without pecial kin, have to be cleaned from left-over eparating agent, if neceary by grinding. When bonding with other material like platic, wood, metal or concrete, mechanical and/or chemical additive have to be ued. The adheive ha to be prepared according to the formula, oberving the manufacturer recommendation. The adheive film i alo to be carefully applied puruant to thee detail. (Tool: bruh, patula, adheive preader, airle pray gun). ontact bonding material pply the non-gap-filling adheive film to both bonding urface the thinner, the better. To cloe the pore of low denity material, two layer may be neceary. Hardening bonding material pply evenly. Poible irregularitie can be compenated by the film thickne. 3. onding When uing contact bonding material, the flah off time ha to be kept in mind. Epecially, with ytem containing water intead of uual olvent, the adheive film mut be a dry a poible in order to pa the finger tet no mark appear when touching the adheive urface. When uing hardening bonding material, the part have to be joined immediately after applying the bonding material. 4.
