4 History 1968: Start-up of the paint factory by Belgolac-Group Petrofina to 1977: Belgolac makes several acquisitions and becomes Sigma Coatings. 1983: Start-up of the resin factory. 1992: Start-up of the emulsion unit. 1999: Total acquires Petrofina. Sigma Coatings becomes SigmaKalon. End 2003: Bain Capital acquires SigmaKalon, followed by a re-structuring of the Manage site, 23 March 2007: Arpadis becomes the new owner. 4
