2 Thermoplastic s compounds are widely used in the automotive industry. The producer has developed polyamide and polypropylene special grades for automotive application with improved mechanical parameters (flexural modulus, impact properties etc.) and increased low temperature resistance, materials suitable for long-term stability at elevated temperatures, materials with low shrinkage and high customer performance (e.g. low emissions, scratch resistant, UV-stability, low tiger stripe). The Polyplastic portfolio includes grades for exterior, interior and under-the-hood applications. Materials are available in the customer s choice of colour. All materials are approved and used at Russian OEMs as well as at big international OEMs like GM, Volkswagen and Renault.

6 Material technical specification Polyamide 6 compound Armamid PA6 GF 30 HS-901 This grade is 30 % glass reinforced polyamide 6 for injection molding, heat stabilized. Application is engine cooling fan shroud. It is designed for under the hood application (air fans, engine covers, air dryer housings, air fans for exhausting systems, intake manifold). The finished parts are: - fully functional and completely undamaged at low temperature and after aging 3000h 150 C - good Dimensional stability. - no cracks or another defects after thermal cycles. 26 The mill produces a wide range of materials based on PP, PA, PBT and POM for molding different parts and components used in household appliances. Our feature is the production materials for heavy loaded parts, components of heating devices and etc. Armlen (a material based on PP) combines ease of processing with a fairly high mechanical strength and high resistance in a variety of environments, including in solutions of detergents, household goods, acids and alkalis. Competitive prices make Armlen absolute leader in the market of thermoplastic materials for Major Domestic Appliances. Armamid (based on PA 6) and Technamid (based on PA 6,6) are used for most heavy-duty parts, such as gears, idlers, rollers, etc. Technoter (based on PBT) is generally used where there is a need to maintain an excellent appearance when exposed to high temperatures. All materials are available in three versions: glass-reinforced, mineral-filled and flame-retardant and also in combination.

The product is designed for injection molding of washing machine parts. Benefits gained from this gevelopment: - resistance to alternating load, - low production costs, - good dimensional stability, - easy processing. Material was tested in water solution of «Ariel» washing powder at 90 C for 1-20 days with slight changing in mechanical properties. Material was checked for thermostability according to ASTM D3012 Color change (Disk 50*3 mm): - after exposition at 150 C, 850 hrs - no yellowness, - after exposition in the oven at 90 C,20 days, then 750 hrs at 150 C no destruction.

34 Armoflen PO MF is the trade name of a range of CaCO 3 masterbatches based on various types of polyolefin. These products are widely used in such applications as blown films, cast films, sheets, bending tapes, wicker ropes, heavy duty bags, pipes and profile extrusions and injection molding. The main benefits of such materials are follows: cost saving, productivity increase, easier printing, higher stiffness (also annular stiffness for pipes) and decreased cooling time. Additional advantage of using CaCO 3 as filler is that the material is non-toxic natural mineral and can be used for food contact applications. Currently we produce Armoflen grades with a CaCO 3 content from 65 to 80%. We offer grades based on different polymer matrices, such as HDPE, LLDPE, PP- homo and PP-copo, and with MFI of the compositions from 1 to 70 g/10 min. Also, we re able to produce tailor-made grades with required properties e.g. flowability, polymer types, particle size and with special additives including PPA.

38 Our material portfolio includes grades for civil construction application. The material Armlen PE MF 70-2FR was developed based on magnesium hydroxide and polyethylene and it is used for aluminum composite panels (middle layer). The combustion specific heat of this material is less than 10 MJ/kg. Armlen PP MF 30-3IM and Armlen PP MF 40-4M are grades which were specially developed for basement siding with a different structure (imitation brick, imitation natural stone etc.). Distinctive features of these grades are high UV stability and impact strength. There are also grades for PP pipe reinforcement which are used for central heating systems, central hot water supply systems and industrial pipe systems. The use of Armlen PP GF 20-1EX and Armlen PP GF 30-1EX in a pipe middle layer allows necessary pipe strength with a lower wall thickness as well as throughput capacity increase.

High density polyethylene Torlen and adhesive compound Armobond are developed for three layer PE steel pipe coating production and fit general requirements of JSC «Transneft» and OAO Gazprom applied to major steel pipelines. Torlen and Armobond application provides technological production efficiency, high mechanical protection properties, stable adhesion level and resistance to the most important aging factors: temperature, UV and corrosion aggressive media.

56 We have developed the materials Technotep A and Technotep B based on SBS and SEBS for extrusion and injection applications. These materials have properties close to rubber but they can be processed by extrusion or injection molding and recycled as thermoplastics. Technotep A materials have high tensile strength, elongation and low set. Technotep B materials have increased thermal stability and resistance to ozone, oxygen and UV. Thanks to these properties goods made of Technotep B have increased service life. Technotep A and Technotep B materials retain their properties over a wide temperature range from -60 to 110 degrees. Standard grades have a hardness range of 60 to 90 (Shore A scale) and can be used for such applications as window profile sealings, car mats and shoe soles.
