1 milglide Advanced Medical Lubricants Introduction MilGlide is a family of multifunctional perfluoropolyether polymer additives based on fluorinated synthetic oil. They have excellent color, UV, and thermal stability. They internally lubricate to improve flow properties, processibility, throughput, uniform mixing/dispersion of ingredients, and offer many advantages over competitive process aids. MilGlide can be used in a variety of thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers at typically less than 1% by weight. Improves mechanical performance and longevity of processing characteristics such as wear and flex fatigue. Some grades can be processed at temperatures as high as 680 F (360 C) due to its excellent thermal stability and low volatility. It is used where improved coefficient of friction is required and non-liquid filling compounding capabilities exist. Our carrier is a 12% MilGlide oil and Ester-Olefin based material.
