Isola&on Joints

Propipe Engineering & AEG JV are based in Madrid, Spain. The JV will capitalize on the strong AEG has developed as a leading provider of monolithic isola@on joints and on Propipe s strength and experience in the oil & gas market. Propipe Engineering & AEG JV will be able to draw on the skill and resources of a complete range of specialized pipelines products. We are delighted to now be able to offer our exis@ng clients the truly complete range of products and services, and are equally looking forward to developing new rela@onships with the extended client base in Europe and America # Monoblock Isola@on Joints

WHAT THEY ARE? Some pipelines deteriorate slowly, and in certain cases pipeline life has been targeted at 70 years or more. Other pipelines have been built and have exhausted their life cycle axer 1 year of opera@on. Metals corrode because we use them in environments where they are chemically instable. Only copper and the precious metals (gold, silver, pla@num etc..) are found in nature in their metallic state. All other metals are processed from minerals or ores into metals which are inherently unstable in their environments. Corrosion is the major cause of reportable incidents in major oil and gas projects. Corrosion is also the major cause of pipeline failures. Corrosion related problems cost to the transmission pipeline industry billions of dollars, divided into the cost of failures, capital and opera@ons and maintenance. Wherever you find oil and gas pipelines, you also find a wide array of reliable APP isola@on joints. The correct loca@on of monolithic isola@on joints helps to reduce the overall cost of corrosion control systems and save millions of dollars by improving efficiency against corrosion problems.

APPLICATION For Onshore Projects: To limit the spread and hence the cost of cathodic to those pipelines that need to be and economically protected by the main cathodic system. To electrically "split-up" long pipelines into cathodic system. To isolate a pipeline and ensure that cathodic protec@on or stray electricity currents do not cause increased corrosion. To provide protec@on against earthing currents at domes@c and industrial premises where the PME system is in use. For Offshore Projects: In riser pipes and offshore structures to isolate the pipeline cathodic protec@on system. At field "@e-ins To isolate a pipeline and ensure that cathodic protec@on or stray electricity currents do not cause increased corrosion.

TECHNICAL FEATURES APP monolithic joints are manufactured in accordance with the highest recognized standards, which guarantee mechanical requirements (torsion, bending etc..) are met for the very specific need of any project. APP monolithic joints are designed and manufactured in sizes range OD 1 "up to OD 96. Pressure ra@ng from ANSI 150# up to API 10000#. All type of carbon steel and stainless steel materials are used in design and fabrica@on BENEFITS & ADVANTAGES No loss of integrity due to thermal expansion or ground stress as is common with flange isola@on gasket kits. In-house tested hydraulically and electrically to the design pressure. Maintenance free, reliable cathodic isola@on of equipment in required strategic applica@ons such as compressor sta@ons. No labor intensive or complicated installa@on procedure required as is with isola@on gasket kits. No inspec@on pits, vaults or maintenance needed. Isolate stray currents impressed on the pipe from outer forces such as electrical transmission systems and earth currents. Excellent bending and torsion resistance.

Anchor Flanges An Anchor Flange is a device installed on a pipeline to combat axial movements. Once it's welded to the pipeline, the anchor flange is commonly anchored into a concrete founda@on. Typically placed onto a sec@on of pipeline as it makes a turn or is at a bridge crossing, the anchor flange is used to prevent the pipeline from moving. An Anchor Flange is an important element in many thrust-control systems, especially those protec@ng pipeline pumping sta@ons. Welded into the line and encased in concrete, it immobilizes the pipe at predetermined loca@ons and transfer built-up stresses to external structures. For example, in cross-country pipelines end forces of considerable magnitude are generated by internal pressure and temperature change. Unless these forces are properly controlled, they can damage pumps, valves and other close-tolerance equipment. Anchor Flanges may be used to secure subsea piping and risers to plaxorm. Anchor Flanges are an integral pressure retaining component of the pipeline and are therefore supplied with weld end bevels to match the pipeline wall thickness. Ordering Informa@on Pipeline OD Pipeline wall thickness Material grade Design code and design factor Design pressure Corrosion allowance Maximum axial load Allowable bearing stress of the suppor@ng founda@on.

SPECTACLE BLIND FLANGES APP Spectacle Blinds are designed and manufactured to allow you to be absolutely sure that an item of equipment is properly and securely blanked off with no possibility of any flow or leakage through a valve during maintenance. SPADE AND SPACERS APP Spade and Spacers are designed and manufactured to isolate sec@ons of pipe to prevent contamina@on and allow inspec@on. Spades and Spacers are usually made from duplex, super duplex, 6% moly, nickel alloy and stainless steel to ensure they are strong and corrosion resistant. APP Spades and Spacers are designed and manufactured in accordance to API 590 and ASTM or to customer requirements. SWIVEL RING FLANGES APP designs and manufactures a range of swivel ring flanges in any size and pressure ra@ng to meet applicable dimensions and gasket types of any recognized flange specifica@on. APP swivel flanges meet the requirements of API 6A and are designed in accordance with ASME Pressure Vessels Code, sec. VIII, Div. 2, unless otherwise specified. Flange geometry can be modified in the event that specific design condi@ons and environmental loads need to be taken into account.
