3 Blowing Agents Chemical blowing agents are organic or inorganic additives used in the manufacture of polymeric foams. The outstanding features of polymeric foams are weight reduction, the lower amount of polymer which has to be used, resulting in a more economical use of energy and lower cost, and improved sound and heat insulation. Bonding Agents Bonding Agents are reactive systems that improve the adhesion and bond strength of flexible PVC coatings on polyester and polyamide fabrics. Typical fields of application for our bonding agents are the production of truck tarpaulins, materials for textile structures such as airdomes and tent roofs, conveyor belts, high performance foils and protective clothing. Modifiers Modifiers are polymeric additives incorporated into plastics frequently PVC to improve its processability and to obtain additional valuable product properties such as heat resistance, impact strength, abrasion resistance, solvent resistance, fuel resistance and more. Plasticizers Whenever plastics need to have high elasticity and flexibility, plasticizers provide the answer. But this is not their only benefit. They also optimize, for example, the processing properties of polymer materials, which leads to improved product quality or even new properties. The choice of plasticizers depends on the demand placed on the finished product. These can include greater softness, elasticity, flame retardant properties or resistance to chemicals, weathering and migration. Sodium Alkane Sulfonates (SAS) Sodium alkane sulfonates are surface-active additives, which are used for emulsion polymerisations, and as raw materials for textile processing chemicals, leather auxiliaries, detergents and cleaning products.

The choice of the bonding agent system depends above all on the demands made on the finished product, the conditions in which the base coat plastisol is formulated, the type of the coating equipment used and the residence time in the gelling tunnel. Typical fields of application include tarpaulins for lorries, awnings, air inflated structures and other textile constructions. Bonding Agent TN/N Hydroxyl group containing polyester, liquid One of the two component (2C) bonding agents that give a particular lightfastness to white or translucent PVC coatings. Pot Life Enhancer 9142 Organic acid chloride in DINP, Light yellow to brownish liquid Additive which ensures a long potlife for PVC plastisols and bonding agent systems.

5 Modifiers Baymod A 52 Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene graft copolymer (ABS), white powder Modifier for rigid PVC improving the impact resistance. May only be used for indoor applications. Baymod A 60 Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene graft polymer (ABS), white powder Modifier for semi-rigid PVC films increasing its ultimate elongation and thermoformability; by blending it with Baymod A 80 optimal thermoforming properties can be achieved. May only be used for indoor applications. Baymod A 80 Styrene acrylonitrile copolymer (SAN), transparent granules Transparent, light- and weather-resistant modifier for PVC improving the flowability of a polymerblend during extrusion, injection moulding or calendering. Used in combination with Baymod A 60 as a modifier to improve the thermoformability of semi-rigid PVC films. Baymod A 82 Styrene acrylonitrile copolymer (SAN), transparent granules Transparent, light- and weather-resistant modifier for PVC improves the flowability of a polymerblend during extrusion, injection moulding or calendering. Used in combination with Baymod A 60 as a PVC modifier in semi-rigid thermoformable sheeting. Baymod AT 49 Acrylonitrile butadiene α-methylstyrene styrene polymer (ABS), white low dust fine granulate High temperature modification of rigid PVC bringing about an increase in dimensional stability under heat, an improved impact resistance, and a good thermoformability of calendered films. May only be used for indoor applications. Baymod AT 68 α-methylstyrene-acrylonitrile copolymer (SAN), white low dust fine granulate Lightfast and weather-resistant modifier for improving the heat resistance of rigid PVC. Suitable for improving the ease of calendering and thermoformability of rigid PVC. Often used in combination with an impact modifier. Baymod PU Aliphatic polyester urethane, PVC as a dusting agent, white powder Lightfast, extraction resistant modifier for improving the resistance of PVC to oil, grease, solvents and abrasion. Plasticizing polymer for PVC. Baymod PU-A Aliphatic polyester urethane, granules Modifier for POM improving the impact strength.

6 Plasticizers Mesamoll Alkyl sulphonic phenyl ester, slightly yellowish, clear liquid General-purpose plasticizer with good gelling behaviour and saponification resistance. Suitable for use with many types of polymers including PVC and polyurethanes. Mesamoll II Alkyl sulphonic phenyl ester, slightly yellowish, clear liquid General-purpose plasticizer with good gelling behaviour and saponification resistance. Suitable for use with many types of polymers including PVC and polyurethanes. The main difference between Mesamoll II and Mesamoll is the former s lower volatility and FCN. Mesamoll TP LXS Mixture of Alkyl sulfonic phenyl esters, almost colourless, liquid General purpose plasticizer with an excellent gelling behaviour, suitable for use with many types of polymers including PVC and polyurethanes. Unimoll AGF Mixture of glycerol acetates, yellowish, low viscosity liquid Plasticizer for PVC developed for applications, especially for films requiring food contact approval. Adimoll DB Di-n-butyl adipate, water-clear liquid Plasticizer for melt processable cellulose esters (CAB, CP), vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymers (VCVAC), polyvinyl chloride (PVC; carrier for active ingredients), nitrocellulose and polyurethane systems. Adimoll DB has a very low viscosity, enabling the manufacture of highly filled pigment batches. Adimoll BO Benzyl-2-ethylhexyl adipate, clear liquid Effective plasticizer for low-temperature-resistant applications of PVC-P, PVAC, and rubbers. It is particular beneficial to use Adimoll BO when PVC compounds with low temperature resistance and light stability are required, together with high elasticity. Triacetin Glycerol triacetate, water-clear liquid Carrier for flavour and essence concentrates. Solidifies cellulose triacetate fibres. Acetine TP LXS Glycerol triacetate, water-clear liquid Technical product for inks, printing inks, paints, adhesives, textile auxiliaries, and as a carrier liquid for crop protection chemicals. Ultramoll M NV Adipic polyester, almost colourless, viscous liquid Low-viscosity, reactive polyester for the manufacture of pigment pastes for PU systems. Its reaction with isocyanates allows the production of articles with sparkling colours. Ultramoll III Adipic polyester, almost colourless, viscous liquid High viscosity polymeric plasticizer for oil, grease and fuel-resistant applications of PVC, NBR and PU systems. It is particularly suitable for the manufacture of foodstuff packaging. Ultramoll IV Adipic polyester, almost colourless, viscous liquid High viscosity polymeric plasticizer for oil, grease and fuel-resistant applications of PVC, NBR and PU systems. Ultramoll IV was specially developed for films based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for example cling films, which are expected to have good migration resistance in combination with a good processibility. Ultramoll IV HV Adipic polyester, almost colourless, viscous liquid High viscosity polymeric plasticizer for oil, grease and fuel-resistant applications of PVC, NBR and PU systems. It is particularly suitable for the manufacture of foodstuff packaging. The main difference between Ultramoll IV HV and Ultramoll IV is the former s lower tendency to migrate.
