3 New Products 2009/2010 The key note for the "New Products 2009/2010 is the combination of discreet exterior appearance and spohisticated lighting engineering. The luminaires should blend in with the architecture as far as possible. Of course, that does not mean that product design can be disregarded; on the contrary, it manifests itself in well designed and useful details. An example of this is the new Nightfocus series of façade luminaires. The exterior appearance of the rectangular fittings can be described as clear and simple. The high level of technical competence is demonstrated by the precisely graduated scale which surrounds the reflector or the LED module. The new square ground-recessed uplighters which have no visible screws and are practically frameless, are further testimony to clarity in product design. Particularly small but high performance light sources make it possible to design extremely compact light fittings which, thanks to their simple design, blend into the background and enhance the surrounding architecture reliably, night after night. 2 New Products 2009/2010

5 Light Lock accessory for Superlight Compact Position 1 Maintenance (re-lamping) Position 1 The maintenance of lighting installations is often overshadowed by a practical problem: the original installation is carried out under competent supervision and according to the lighting specification. However, for subsequent maintenance work the light fittings are often turned or pivoted for easier handling. Only seldom are they aimed accurately and correctly again afterwards. Patent pending Light Lock is a new accessory for the Superlight Compact series of floodlights which is designed to ensure that the luminaires are returned to their original aiming position after maintenance. A special mechanism makes it possible to loosen off and pivot the luminaire for easier handling during maintenance and then return it to its original aiming angle afterwards. Light Lock ensures that the desired aiming angles of the luminaries are retained, even after many maintenance intervals. 4 Light Lock

The cap with tilt scale has to be removed from one side of the luminaire. On our Webseite a short film that explains the use of Light Lock can be watched or downloaded. Maintenance without Light Lock the floodlights are pivoted away from their original position and only partially returned to the correct aiming angle. The result: the luminaires are out of focus. Maintenance with Light Lock the floodlights are pivoted away from their original position and afterwards are put back to the correct aiming angle. The result: the desired lighting effect is retained. 7 Ground-recessed uplighters for high pressure discharge lamps The demands set on ground-recessed uplighters differ depending on the location where they are to be installed. In addition to the circular luminaires with their typical light cone, we are now offering square luminaires for uniform illumination. These new ground-recessed luminaires come in two different versions: Design: mld - with a wall washer reflector system for façade illumination from a short distance - with an asymmetrical reflector for façade illumination when the luminaires are further away from the building. In the flush mount version, these luminaires are supplied with a slim frame and without any visible screws. The light fittings are completely level with the surrounding area. Alternatively, for uneven areas, there is a version with a wider stainless steel frame which covers the groove around the fixture. 6 Ground-recessed uplighters

14 Ground-recessed uplighters for metal halide lamps The range of ground-recessed uplighters with rotationally symmetrical reflectors has been broadened with two further sizes: one shallow version for 20 Watt miniature metal halide lamps with a depth of just 12m and a shallow 70 Watt uplighter with a depth of only 150 mm. These products have adjustable optics which allow them to be focused on site. The range of accessories includes optical glass lenses, louvres and a heat block filter to reduce the temperature on the glass. Ground-recessed uplighters 13

19 Nightspot Mini gobo projector for metal halide lamps The Nightspot Mini series has been extended to include a mini gobo projector for 20 and 35 Watt miniature metal halide lamps. It is suitable for projecting sharp images and logos over a short distance, as is often required in landscape and architectural lighting. The very compact dimensions make discreet installation possible. 21 Nightfocus façade luminaires for metal halide lamps and LEDs The new Nightfocus series of façade luminaires has a clear concept of discreet, nearly invisible installation. The product design follows this aim uncompromisingly, resulting in a clear and simple rectangular body. Miniature metal halide lamps and LEDs made it possible to design an extremely compact luminaire. This series meets the demands of sophisticated architectural lighting; gimbal mounted adjustable reflectors or LED modules with various distributions can be focused with precision and then locked into place. 22 The Nightfocus range offers a choice of rotationally symmetrical reflectors with various beam angles or asymmetrical reflectors. Alternatively, these luminaires are available with LEDs in various distributions. Two modules with differing wattages and beam distributions can be combined together as up- and downlight. The luminaires for mounting lengthwise are suitable for situations where the housing should not protrude from the façade, e.g. on ledges or window reveals. Nightfocus 21

33 Nightpath Wall recessed and pathway luminaires for metal halide lamps and compact fluorescent lamps Nightpath is a wall recessed or pathway luminaire for miniature metal halide lamps and compact fluorescent lamps. The reflector system produces an exceptionally wide and uniform light distribution which allows the luminaires to be spaced far apart. The housings are of compact design and offer the advantage of a very shallow recess depth. 38 Ceiling-recessed downlights for metal halide lamps and LEDs The range of ceiling mount recessed downlights for miniature metal halide lamps and LEDs is characterised by extremely compact dimensions and a high degree of flexibility. The relatively shallow recess depth can be reduced even further by using luminaires with a separate control gear unit. There is a choice of products with fixed or gimbal mounted adjustable optics with various beam angles. The good low-glare characteristics can be optimised by using accessories. All components have a high IP rating. The screwless trim rings are available in 4 standard colours to suit various ceiling surface finishes; black, white, silver and dark brown anodised. 47 Surface-mounted downlights for metal halide lamps and LEDs The new series of surface-mounted downlights for miniature metal halide lamps and LEDs are compact in size and very shallow. Equipped with either fixed or gimbal mounted adjustable reflectors and with a range of different distributions, these products can be adapted to suit a wide range of lighting applications.the control gear is situated in a separate compartment for optimal thermal protection. In the case of the LED product with fixed optics, this compartment is not required, resulting in an extremely shallow housing. The range of accessories includes optical lenses for beam control and anti-glare louvres.
