The Thermbond refractory advantage of using liquid-phosphate bonded refractory materials for equipment maintenance. The operating processes are described based on field experience with Thermbond Refractories in combination with analysis from controlled lab tests. Thermbond refractory is a two-component liquid phosphate bonded refractory and has found wide acceptance in many industries and in particular, the aluminium, power, chemical, refining and petrochemical industry thanks to its unique features including: Fast setting and rapid heat up that reduces downtime costs. KORVISIT-A blocks are successfully used as skid rails as well as soaking zone bottom of heavy duty pusher type furnaces reheating ingots. KORVISIT-A is resistant to mechanical wear in high temperature condition and can be used as supporting element or for lining exit chutes in up-to-date walking beam furnaces. For protection of the traverse beam mechanism against thermal shock, proper quality insulating and refractory masses can be used. As the material to be heated is moved solely on KORVISIT-A, the less dense and mechanically not so durable monolithics are protected from wear. Superior Magnetic Fuel Activator SUPERIOR WATER CONDITIONER - is mounted in-line and alters the natural characteristics of hard water minerals, making it difficult for them to bond together and form a hard CALCITE scale. Instead, they remain in a suspended state throughout the heat transfer process and will flow on through the system. In some cases, they will settle to the lowest point in the system and can be easily removed by blow down or draining. Water-using equipment will operate with improved efficiency, and maintenance due to lime/scale becoming almost non-existent. FUEL TREATMENT - The applied field from the Superior Fuel System aggregates nano-sized particles or impurities and as shown by Van der Waals, tends to uncurl long hydrocarbon molecules increasing their surface area, thus creating improved mixing of fuel and oxygen during combustion. 7 AMT Corrosion Resistant Coating Products FlueGard-225SQC is the latest development in the FlueGard product family. The material has improved chemical and thermal resistance to the aggressive acids condensing in flue gas systems. FLUEGUARD The major benefit is that it can be heated rapidly from room temperature to cure temperature, this saves time and money to the end user. FlueGard-225SQC is ideally suited to coat filters with the process running and then use the hot flue gas to cure the coating in place. KilnGard-600SCW is a two component, nanoceramic material for high temperature corrosion protection in the inside of the kiln shell in cement plants. KILNGUARD The flue gases found in cement or lime plants are extremely corrosive. Recently with the increase use of alternative fuels, the corrosion of the kiln shell under the refractory is becoming more severe. KilnGard-600SCW has demonstrated outstanding performance on steel surfaces exposed to this unusually aggressive environment. StackGard-255SQW is a new addition to 3L&T's product technologies. This material has been specifically designed to protect the inside of steel chimneys. STACKGUARD The product can be cured at temperatures as low as 80ºC (176ºF), and up to 180ºC (356ºF), this wide range is suitable for large chimneys where there can be a large temperature differential from bottom to top. WearGard-225SG is a tough elastomeric material formulated with reactive inorganic fillers, including several in nanometer particle size. WEARGUARD The material is applied with an airless spray gun in several layers to a total thickness up to 100 mils. The product is then cured at 140ºC to 180ºC for several hours.

8 CorrosionGard-160S is our most recent corrosion protection material, it cures at room temperature and can operate up to 160ºC. It can be used in stacks, ducts and filters that operate below 160ºC and are exposed to acid condensation and severe internal corrosion. CORROSION GUARD CorrosionGard-160S will protect the metal from corrosion and abrasion, reducing maintenance cost and extending the useful life of these equipments.

Hydrojet Systems use high pressure water jets to demolish and remove concrete while not damaging the rebar. Our method is mainly used to remove concrete from sensitive structures, such as dams, tunnels, turbine linings, bridges, parking decks, harbours and docks for repairs. The effectiveness of this method is due to two main reasons: the direct impact of the water jet on the surface and the porous nature of concrete - the high pressure water is forced into the tiny cavities and cracks within the concrete mass, causing it to fracture and split Demolition with High Pressure Water Jetting leaves rebar clean and free of damage The variable parameters of the technique, water pressure, jet size and speed of application, make it possible to remove concrete in a very precise and controlled way.
