Causes severe eye and skin irritation. Causes severe respiratory tract irritation. May cause sensitization by inhalation and by skin contact. Target Organs: None known. Potential Health Effects Eye: Irritation, lacrimation, redness, tearing, burns, damage vision.

2 Skin: Causes redness, irritation, sensitization dermatitis. Mercury is absorbed through skin producing gastrointestinal and kidney damage. Severe alkali burns can occur. Ingestion: Burns, pain, vomiting, diarhhea, metallic taste, death from electrolyte loss/imbalance, vascular collapse, renal failure; alkali burns, perforation. Section 4 - First Aid Measures Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower lids until chemical is gone. Get medical aid at once. Cover burns with loose sterile non-medicated bandages. Skin: Get medical aid. Immediately flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Cover burns with a dry sterile bandage (secure, not tight). Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Get medical aid at once. Give conscious victim large quantities of water to dilute. Inhalation: Give artificial respiration if necessary. Get medical aid.
