3 Capabilities. Aluminium Investment Castings Aeromet s two investment casting facilities produce complex, thinwalled and multi-core cast components. Our high strength and large size investment casting capabilities allow us to unlock the weight and cost advantages of the casting process for a wide range of structures. Aluminium and Magnesium Sand Castings Aeromet s sand casting capability is enhanced by our leading simulation and computer modelling methods. We produce complex, multi-core sand castings for a range of aerospace applications. SOPHIA High Property Investment Castings SOPHIA is a proprietary process for producing high-strength, thin walled investment castings using standard aluminium alloys. Aeromet is one of only four licensees of the SOPHIA process worldwide. Rapid Prototyping Aeromet s in house 3D printing capability allows us to produce rapid prototype cast parts with short lead times and no tooling costs. We have produced compliant, flying parts using this capability. Assembly Ready Components With a combination of in-house capabilities and strategic partners, Aeromet offer full machining, painting, treatment and assembly services. We deliver fully finished, kitted parts directly to assembly lines around the world. Engineering Support Aeromet specialise in working with customers to develop innovative cast solutions for complex parts. With the latest simulation and modelling technology, we work with customers to convert fabricated and machined parts for the casting process, unlocking weight and cost benefits.

4 The world s strongest aluminium casting alloy. Rapid Prototyping Developed and patented by Aeromet, A20X is the world s strongest aluminium casting alloy with full MMPDS and AMS aerospace approval. 5 Fuel connectors Engine components Fuel connectors sit deep within an aircraft wing as part of the fuel system. Aeromet supplies tens of thousands of pressure tight fuel connectors of varying geometries every year. Aeromet casts engine components designed to withstand high temperature, high pressure environments, including heat exchangers and pump bodies. Fabrication conversions Slat cans Aeromet has experience in converting fabricated parts to casting. Using our engineering, simulation and rapid prototyping capabilities we create innovative cast solutions for complex parts. Slat cans house actuation systems for moveable surfaces on aircraft wings. Historically these parts were fabricated or welded together Aeromet casts these parts for several major aircraft OEMs. Product Types.
