High-performance industrial lubricants, such as Molykote brand specialty lubricants from Dow Corning, are formulated to meet specific application conditions. Selecting the proper lubricant for a given application should always consider L.E.T.S. load, environment, temperature and speed. Loads can be heavy, moderate or light. Environments can be typical industrial settings or severe-duty, harsh or corrosive conditions. s can range from extreme heat to extreme cold. Even if the carrier oil evaporates or is squeezed out or thrown off, the solids maintain a reliable and strong lubricating film on metal surfaces. Molykote brand anti-friction coatings: Dry-film bonded lubrication provides long-term wear in dusty, dirty environments and on parts difficult to access for relubrication. Paintlike coatings dry to a slippery film that fills in surface roughness and optimizes wear-surface friction.
