Since then, American Nickeloid has compiled an impressive record of fantastic finishes. Today, in addition to our pre-finished surfaces of chrome, nickel, copper, brass and vinyl, American Nickeloid offers PVDF film and PVDF paint surfaces prepared exclusively for the automotive industry. Since 1976, Fluorex has been used on automotive parts for both protective and appearance purposes, and has passed the test of time in all types of climates and road conditions. In fact, Fluorex is one of the few automotive trim coating systems available that passes industry corrosion tests for coating over stainless steel. The result? Fluorinol is ideal for many trim molding applications, featuring excellent weather resistance that has been proven with over twenty years of exposure. In fact, it has passed every major exterior trim specification test for corrosion, adhesion, color retention, wear and salt spray. With the introduction of a high strength substrate, American Nickeloid Fluorinol aluminum products are now as dent resistant as steel, yet at the same time offer a great weight saving advantage. Fluorinol, while moderate in cost, will give you a surface finish that approaches film laminates. For added protection during fabrication, American Nickeloid s Fluorinol-coated surfaces can be ordered with adhesive-backed and non-adhesive-backed films. 3
