SHRI ARVIND SAWANT Will the Minister MINES be please to state: (a) the number registere working mines in the country, State/UT-wise; (b) whether the Government has fixe/proposes to fix any target for prouction from these mines, if so, the etails there along with the achievements mae by these mines uring each the last three years an the current year; (c) whether the Government has achieve the target set for these mines, if not, the reasons therefor an the steps taken to achieve the same; () whether certain other mines are also working illegally in aition to the registere mines in the country, if so, the etails there, State/UT -wise; an (e) the action taken by the Government against these illegal working mines? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) FOR POWER, COAL, NEW & RENEWABLE ENERGY AND MINES (SHRI PIYUSH GOYAL) (a): The etails working mines registere with IBM as on.. in the country, statewise are given at Annexure-I. (b): The Government oes not fix or propose to fix lease-wise target for prouction. The mining lessees themselves submit proposals for prouction through the mining plans/schemes mining etc. The Supreme Court has issue orers capping the prouction iron ore in the states Goa an Karnataka.
