Additive manufacturing can be carried out on the 5-axes simultaneous machine tool, while preperation and finishing operations are carried out on other machine tools. This means that both additive and milling capacities can be used to the optimum. The LASERTEC 65 3D also has a working space that is approx. 40 % larger than the hybrid version, combined with a footprint that is approx. 45 % smaller. It allows faster production of complex geometries and customised parts. The flexible changeover between laser and milling operations enables the direct machining of areas that can no longer be reached later on the finished part.
