Leading Solution LG, LG Industrial Systems and LG-Nikko Copper, Gaon, E and Yesco are starting with a new name, Leading Solution, LS.

New Dream, New Start To become a leader in the competitive global market, LG has been divided into three groups, electronics and chemicals for LG, energy and distribution for GS, Industrial electric electronics and material for LS based on their business specialties. LS' main companies, such as LS cable, LS industrial systems, LS-Nikko copper, Gaon cable, E and Yesco, are ranked as No. in their respective industry. However, LS won't just sit back, satisfied with being the best in Korea. We will pave the way for becoming the world's best in industrial electric electronics and material industry with the new CI, LS. Your good partner LG is making a fresh start as LS LS is No. cable maker in Korea and its business fields are telecounication, electric power, components & materials and machinery. Also, LS is creating new businesses particularly in component and materials industry. LS makes its best to accomplish the vision, 'Your No. Creative Partner' and be one the world leaders with high technology and best level service.

LS Shipboard JIS C LS Korea s foremost cable maker in both product list and service range, LS has an integrated supply system from basic raw materials to ultrahigh voltage cables, optical fiber cables, system engineering and installation works. In non-cable sector as well, LS flourishes as a top-rate supplier information and counication networks, connectors, lead frames, industrial rubber, and aluminum products. Reputed for its outstanding technology and quality, LS is at the service customers within and outside Korea. Armed with the world s leading technology in electric power and optic fiber, it has been successful with four joint ventures in Malaysia and Vietnam. It has thus demonstrated leadership in establishing a global network in the domains electric power, other energy and information.

JIS C Technical Information Short circuit rating The following short circuit currents are for cables operating normally at a maximum conductor temperature 85 C. The theoretical temperature that arises in the conductor during a short circuit, which is used as a basis the calculation, is 0 C EPR and XLPE - are capable withstanding short term temperatures up to 0 C. The short circuit currents for copper conductors given in the table are values for on second, for other durations the current may be calculated from the following formula : = = short circuit current for t sec. (A) = short circuit current for one sec.(a) = short circuit duration(sec.) The duration the short circuit based on these assumptions should be between 0.2 sec. and 0 sec. area 2 area 2 area 2 area , 0 0 2, 2 0 3, 5 0 0, , , , 3 0 0, , , , 0 0 2, , , , Reactance The reactance a cable operating in an AC system depends on many factors, including, in particular, the axial spacing between conductors and the proximity and magnetic properties adjacent steelwork. The former is known for multicore cable, but may vary for single core cables depending upon the spacing between them and their disposition when installed. Reactances cables in certain dispositions remote from steelwork are calculable and are shown. The tabulated values are for cables with circular conductors. The value for a sector-shaped conductor should be taken as 90% the tabulated value. The value reactance so calculated is for a supply frequency 0 Hz. For any other frequency, a corrention should be made in direct proportion to the frequency. For example at Hz, the reactance is 3 times that at 0Hz. Induction for 2-and 3-conductor cables is given by the formula : = = induction in H/m and phase. = axial space between conductors in = conductor diameter in area 2 R e a c t a n c e ( X ) / k m Reactance for 2-and 3-conductor cables is given by the formula : = 2 L I = reactance in ohm pr.phase = induction in H/m and phase = frequency in Hz = conductor length in m. 29 LS Shipboard

Technical Information Impedance Impedance for 2-and 3-conductor cables is given by the formula : = = impedance in ohm pr. phase = resistance at operating temp. in ohm pr. phase = reactance in ohm pr. phase. area 2 R e a c t a n c e ( Z ) / k m Installations recoendations Minimum cable bending radius The internal radius cable bends which are not subjected to movements by expansion, is not to be less than : times the external diameter cable which are subjected to movements by expansion and the high voltage cable are to be bent to a form at least 2 times cable diameter. r : radius D : external diameter r D Installations temperature Minimum recoended temperature installations : -0 C Ship wiring cable with PVC -20 C Elastomeric on/f shore cables Installations pulling force The cable pulling force can be estimated, as a maximum limit : 5Kp per 2 conductor area in the cable. Additional tension will be supplied from the braid and the and ing compound. LS Shipboard 30
