2 Huber Martinswerk s specialty unground, ground and superground highly reactive Martoxid aluminum oxides are used globally for a variety of technical ceramic applications. Huber Martinswerk offers a range of tailor-made Martoxid superground aluminum oxides to meet and exceed the most demanding requirements of ceramic product producers such as chemical purity and low alkali content (Na2O content is 0.1%), crystal properties, particle size and its distribution, rheological behavior and ceramic reactivity. Each product has specific characteristics for specific fields of application. Typical application fields include high mechanical strength, extreme hardness, excellent resistance to wear, temperature and corrosion, thermal conductivity and good electrical insulation. Huber Martinswerk produces a wide range of Martoxid specialty oxides with constant quality characteristics. Stringent quality control and careful manufacturing procedures ensure a consistent process and guaranteed reproducible characteristics for each product. Details concerning the products, their applications and different properties are shown in the information and data that follows. 2
