6 BLACK LABEL SERIES Glass Putty NEW GENERATION Light 2K polyester filling putty reinforced with fiberglass for filling cracks, small holes and areas damaged by corrosion. This putty with innovative formula ideally suits for surface repair when maximum mechanical resistance and adhesion to a substrate are required. Due to the special formula the putty is much more soft and flexible than analogical products from other manufacturers; this gives substantial advantage during application. Another principal advantage of this material is the minimum pore formation that makes it possible to reduce a number of surface treatment operations in contrast with fiberglass putties from other manufacturers. Better surface quality, easier sanding and reduction of time expenditure gives to the new material the unprecedented superiority. By reaction with air humidity, the product cures into a strong but flexible rubber, with excellent adhesion to many substrates. It will not sag even when applied in thick layers. The product is resistant to ageing, weather and is impermeable to water. PU Adhesive and Sealant is suitable for sealing all kinds of joints: overlaps, flanges, linearweldings, spotweldings etc. It is also used to seal drains, lamp housings, reversible roofs and other car body parts. Film thickness depends on the characteristics of the materials being bonded. The joint should be overlapped on the previous section; the end-to-end joint is prohibited to avoid the leakage of water. The process of bonding must take no more than 10 minutes. PU sealant has a relatively high viscosity. Therefore, it is advisable to use special clamps for locking the parts being bonded until the sealant dries completely. Let dry after degreasing. The substrates to be bonded must be dry, oil-free, grease-free, dust-free and free of any contaminating agents that could harm bonding. In cold weather, store the cartridges or sausages at a temperature of about 20 C before use. Do not wipe the substrate up and down. If the pad has got dirty, replace it with a new one and continue the procedure. If the primer peels off, replace the windshield to avoid unpredictable consequences. If any deviations in the substrate material are detected, it is advisable to carry out an adhesion test prior to actual bonding. Test bonding of the windshield with any materials is particularly recommended to achieve desirable adhesion. Avoid any contact with non-cured MS, hybrid PU or silicone sealants as well as with alcohols or ammonia during curing. - Apply the glass coated with the sealant on the car body and press, before the skin formation time (i.e. within 30 minutes). - Apply the glue with a glue gun onto the substrate. - Install the glass onto the window frame and use the palm to press softly till the glass is bound flatly. Adjust the space up and down, left and right, and use the press sensitive tape to fix. - Excessive glue can be removed with a scraper or soapy water. - If any glue residue remains on the substrate, quickly remove it with an alcohol-free cleaning agent, e. g. gasoline. If the glue has hardened, use a blade. Do not apply at a temperature below +5 C Tack free time: 15 min at 23 C and 50% r.h. After that apply the mixture on the glass mat till it gets fully saturated, remove the air bubbles by flattening the material with a stiff brush. When the temperature of the resin layer will be approximately equal to the room temperature, the surface can be sanded with P abrasives. All irregularities are to be eliminated by application of the filling / finishing putty kg of resin should be used for 1 kg of glass mat.
