4 Individually tailored at your demands: High-performance PET es to match ambitious requirements. PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) is a thermoplastic polyester mainly used for the manufacture of thin films for flexible food packaging, thermoforming sheets for packaging containers, trays and blister packs and preforms for the production of s for soft and carbonated drinks. Kafrit Group offers commercially the following functional and optical additives for PET, in grades adapted to different applications, transparent and opaque: Slip/ es a wide range of masterbatches that can be used separately or in various combinations in order to reduce the coefficient of friction (COF) on the surface of films and sheets thus enabling faster winding and unwinding. UV Stabilizers blocking or absorbing harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays in order to avoid the degradation of PET agricultural films, fibers, substrates of solar cells and packaging products, and also to protect any sensitive packaged contents; Chain-Extenders designed to prolong the polymer-chain-length and raise the IV of recycled PET, thus enhancing its melt strength, viscosity and impact strength and ensuring easy processing and better mechanical properties of the final product; Mold-Release es enabling easy ejection of s from the mold; Color es enabling the manufacture of a wide variety of colorful, eye-catching PET products; White es highly loaded (up to 60%) titanium dioxide masterbatches, requiring relatively low loading levels and ensuring high opacity at reasonable costs; Tie Layer compounds mainly designed to enable the bonding of PET and PE layers in multi-layer films and barrier food-packaging structures. 4 Packaging your needs with Kafrit Group Polyester es and Compounds
