2 MxRib 1010 Elegant Yet Strng Steel Prfile Ideal Fr Rfing & Wall Cladding MxRib1010 is a curvaceus rf prfile sheet. The curvaceus design nt nly adds strength t the rf prfiles but als gives it an elegant lk. This als translates int lng spanning capabilities. MxRib1010 can be used as rfing as well as walling applicatins fr varius industry segment like factries, warehuse, infrastructure prject etc. MxRib 1010 made f high strength steel and despite its lightness has remarkable recvery after defrmatin Cver Width MxRib 1010 prfile has been designed t ensure excellent water egress. MxRib 1010 prfile has been widely accepted as it serves tw mst Fig - 01 imprtant purpses, strength & aesthetics and hence it becmes architects first chice. DIMENSIONS MxRib 1010 prfile can be factry cranked, curved and bull nsed t a wide range f radii t suit architectural requirements. Prfile Cver Width Crest Pitch Sheet Width MxRib 1010 side lap design makes it cmpletely watertight (Ref fig. - 03). The unique feature f anti-capillary grve at side laps makes it ttally weather prf. Any misture drawn in by capillary actin is trapped and dispersed by nrmal run - ff. Always drive the screws perpendicular t the sheeting. Screws are always driven perpendicular t the rf sheets and in the center f the crrugatin f ribs. Fig - 02 GALVALUME is an internatinally recgnized trademark f BIEC Internatinal Inc. Galvalume Technlgy is a Zinc Aluminium cated steel ffering high crrsin resistance with clear resin cating. The ally cating cmprises f 55% Aluminium, 43.5% Zinc and 1.5% Silicn. This cating cmbines the superir barrier prtectin f Aluminium and the sacrificial cut edge prtectin f Zinc. Fasteners shuld be atleast 25mm away frm the edge f the sheet at the eaves and ridge end f the sheet. All fasteners shall cnfrm t AS 3566, class 3-4 (min) fr external applicatin. Refer installatin manual fr crrect sizes f screws fr varius applicatins. The side lapping f MxRib1010 prfile is cmpletely weatherprf by the prvisin f unique feature f anti-capillary grve prvided alng the length f sheets (Ref Fig - 03). It is generally cnsidered gd Practice t use fasteners alng side laps if purlin spacings are beynd the recmmended spacings. Lng lengths and weatherprf side lap design allw MxRib1010 t be used 0 0 safely n rf pitches as lw as 3 in single sheet length & 5 with end laps and fr vertical cladding. Minimum f 50mm shuld be verlapped int the gutter with necessary flashing details. Please refer Maxrf technical literature and standard drawing details. 0 When MxRib1010 is installed in rf slpes less than 5, bend the edge f sheet t blck capillary actin. (refer installatin manual) If necessary t use tw r mre end lapped sheets t prvide full length cverage f the rf run, lay each line f end lapped sheets cmplete frm bttm t tp f the rf befre prceeding t the next line f sheets. Befre lifting sheets n t the rf, check that they are the crrect way up and the female rib is twards the edge f the rf, frm which the installatin will start. 5 Care & Handling during & after installatin Rfing Female Rib Male Rib Walling Figure shwing fixing arrangement fr Rf & Wall Walking n Rf Weight t be evenly distributed acrss bth feet while walking n the rf. Sled shes are ideal during installatin. Avid ribbed shes. While walking n the rf always walk alng the purlins and put yur ft within the valley f the sheets. Metal & Timer Cmpatibility Lead, cpper, bare steel and green r sme chemically treated timbers are nt cmpatible with these prducts. Als avid rainwater discharge frm these nt the prduct. Call ur nearest ffice fr advice. Maintenance Fr ptimum prduct life, wash external surfaces regularly. Areas sheltered by eaves shuld be washed at least nce in 6 mnths. Strage and Handling Keep the prduct dry and clear f the grund. If stacked r bundled and prduct becmes wet, separate it, wipe it and allw it t dry. Handle materials carefully, never drag it. If the sheets are stred fr a lnger perid r during rainy seasn, always keep it inclined psitin, s that any water entering int the sheets are drained ut. Fig - 03 Sealed Jints Use screws r rivets and neutral-cure silicne sealant recmmended as suitable fr the use with Galvalume steel. Cutting Fr nsite cutting f thin metals, a circular saw with a circular blade r cutting tls as recmmended. Cut metals ver grund and nt n ther materials. Keep the rf surface clear f debris and all metallic swarf. End Lapping End laps are usually nt necessary as MxRib1010 is available in lnger lengths. If end-laps are required refer Maxrf technical manual. End f Sheets Allw rf sheets t verlap int gutters by abut 50mm. If the pitch f rf is less than 5 r extreme weather is expected the valleys f sheets shuld be turned dwn at lwer ends and turned up at upper ends by abut 80. The verhang f sheets are nt meant fr ft traffic. 5
