Soid carbide micro-precision dris of Guhring s ExcusiveLine are designed to optimay satisfy these requirements. They enabe high-performance machining in the majority of materias. The 4 facet point grind with honed cutting edges offer high cutting rates and optima chip breaking. The specia fute profie provides probem free swarf evacuation from the hoe. Additiona specifications are the reinforced shank for improved too camping and the -coating, which is especiay designed for demanding appications ike the machining of hardened stees or HSC. Micro-precision dris with interna cooing are avaiabe with spira cooant ducts thanks to the company s own carbide technoogy. Thanks to the optimised too geometry, pecking is not required for hoes up to 15xD with Guhring s soid carbide micro-precision dris. For this piot hoe, the soid carbide micro-precision dri 4xD without interna cooing and 5xD with interna cooing are optimay suitabe, the soid carbide micro-precision dri 5xD with interna cooing especiay for stainess stees and specia aoys. Their point ange and their diameter toerance are perfecty adapted. # 6405 To. m7 # 6400 To. m7 # 6412 To. h7 ~0, Centering In order to achieve fu performance with soid carbide micro-precision dris from 8xD driing depth, we recommend centering. The ExcusiveLine soid carbide micro-precision dri up to 4xD, Guhring no. 6400, can be appied for this purpose. The centering diameter shoud be approximatey 2 / 3 xd. 2/3 xd 1 Fiter quaity When appying soid carbide micro-precision dris we recommend constant monitoring of the ubricant s fiter quaity due to the extremey sma cooant duct diameters, for exampe with our check instrument CC Too camping For the camping of the soid carbide micro-precision dris we recommend our HMC 3000 hydrauic chucks. They permit the direct camping of toos with shank diameters from 3 mm. Advantages are the fast, easy and precise ength adjustment and the perfect concentricity R < 3 µm at driing depth 10xD. 11

RT 100 T - For deep hoes in stees RT 100 T spira-fute extra ength dris provide highest economic efficiency for the production of deep hoes up to 40xD in stees. In the standard range they are avaiabe in the diameter range from 3 to maximum 14 mm for the driing depths 15xD, 20xD, 25xD, 30xD and 40xD. Intermediate sizes up to 30xD or maximum 400 mm tota ength as we as designs optimised for MQL machining are avaiabe as specia soutions.
