2 PRECISION COMPONENTS FOR MEDICAL AND LIFE SCIENCES Representing Britt Manufacturing Company MIM and CIM components In-house custom alloy development with full QA lab In-house tool design and manufacturing In-house stainless heat treatment Experienced development team offers R&D, Engineering, DFM support Hybrid manufacturing offered to shorten lead time (machining of near net green shapes prior to sintering) Challenging components welcome ISO certified Britt Manufacturing Company, a member of Greene Group, is a leading Michigan-based innovator in powder injection molding (PIM). Its diversified customer base includes an established presence in medical device and life science components, which together account for about 80% of its business. Britt Manufacturing has over 100 employees working in 50,000 ft2 of production space. As with injection molding of polymers, MIM and CIM are mainly suitable for volume manufacturing due to the necessary investment in tooling. Britt Manufacturing offers project assistance from development of validation samples to volume production. If short lead times are critical, hybrids can often be made (components that are machined at a near net green stage prior to de-binding and sintering). RepExact and Britt Manufacturing can also help customers whose volume requirements for an existing part are changing, and need to go from machining to molding, or vice versa. We can also help source machined prototypes of metal and ceramic parts prior to volume component development. Please contact RepExact for more information or a quote from Britt Manufacturing.

4 YOUR PRESCRIPTION FOR PRECISION AND MICRO COMPONENTS Exclusive Representative for Gateway Laser Services Precision laser micro machining of polymers, ceramics, and metals Drilling, welding, cutting, ablation (marking/etching) IR, Green, and UV (including Excimer) equipment Accuracies down to 2 µm ( ) S E R V I C E S Wide choice of materials - polymers are a particular specialty A leader in the field of precision micro machining, Gateway Laser Services specializes in the processing of highly precise components requiring extremely close tolerances. Its technologically advanced, high resolution processes provide innovative solutions for many of the challenges associated with traditional laser cutting, and can be used for a wide variety of applications on flat, tubular, and dimensional stock. Gateway Laser Services is centrally located in the St. Luis, MO area, permitting efficient servicing of customers across the US. It operates in several shifts, permitting work from prototyping to volume production. The use of a range of customized equipment operating in five different wavelengths in the IR, Green, and UV spectrums allows Gateway Laser Services to select the optimal technology for the job. Thicker metal parts are cut with an IR laser. Green light YAG equipment is used for precision machining of metals and ceramics. Equipment in two YAG UV wavelengths machines polymers. YAG equipment can provide tolerances between 25 µm and 2 µm (0.001 and ) or better depending on material, thickness, and application. Finally, Excimer UV technology allows material ablation (shaving) of polymer materials in single micron ( ) increments. Typical products include micro holes for catheters, implants, and flow orifices, micro filters, masks, gaskets, channels, flex circuits, epoxy preforms, piezo electronics, micro wire stripping, etc. Please contact RepExact for further information or us your drawing for a quote from Gateway Laser Services, Inc.
