2 ORI-FLOWRATOR METERS The ABB Series 10B4500 Ori-Flowrator Meter is a variable area flowmeter used to measure large flows of liquids or gases i cojuctio with a primary orifice plate. This meter is mouted i a by-pass lie aroud the primary orifice. A ragig orifice, itegral with the meter, proportios the by-pass flow to the mai lie flow. A 1/2-ich size meter is used to measure flow regardless of the mai lie pipe size. Sice the float positio i a variable-area flowmeter is liear with flow rate, the Ori-Flowrator meter ca be used to idicate mai lie flow rate i direct flow uits o a liear scale. Stadard scales are graduated percet full scale. A factor tag is permaetly attached to each meter to covert scale readig to flow rate for primary elemets with the same differetial. Special scales graduated i direct flow uits are available. The Ori-Flowrator meter is available with oadjustable differetial rages of 0-25, 0-50, 0-100, 0-150, 0-200, ad iches of water. ( , 0-25, , 0-50, 0-75, kpa). Meter tube breakage ca occur if the wrog materials is used. For example VITON 0 RINGS MUST NEVER BE USED FOR AMMONIA SERVICE. Capacity The followig capacities are offered as a guide oly. The values show are the maximum flow obtaiable through a square edge cocetric orifice. Spa of maximum values show are those obtaiable by varyig the mai lie orifice diameter ratio betwee 0.3 ad 0.7.
