2 THE PROCESSING FACILITY The Processing Facility (owned by Noranda Income Limited Partnership) is the second-largest zinc processing facility in North America and the largest zinc processing facility in eastern North America, where the majority of zinc customers are located. It is located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec. It produces refined zinc metal and various by-products from sourced zinc concentrates. The Processing Facility is operated and managed by Canadian Electrolytic Zinc Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Glencore Canada Corporation. In 2003, the zinc production process and the sulphuric acid plant received ISO 9001 certification. In 2005, the Processing Facility earned its ISO certification, covering all environmental processes at the plant.
