5 Influence of talc on P&C properties таlc 5 Softness -Excellent grinding - Low abrasive wear of equipment Si O OH Mg Chemical resistance and hydrophobic property Platelike particle shape - Corrosive resistance - Improvement of appearance - Wearing life - Excellent coverage rate - Low water permeability - Hardening properties Talc one of the most popular mineral products at the mineral commodity market that is used in different areas by numerous industrial branches. Its unique role is defined by platelike particle shape and peculiar properties of crystalline structure. One of the most important properties softness and high whiteness, organophility and hydrophobic property, chemical stability, high temperature resistance and low electrical conductivity.

6 Talc advantages in different types of P&C 6 In alkyd P&C Increase of atmospheric and moisture durability Strengthening chemical and corrosive resistance Regulation of viscosity of compositions Regulation of coating mattness Provision of high coverage rate Increase of atmospheric and moisture durability Strengthening mechanical properties of coatings Improvement of rheological characteristics In water-based P&C

7 Deposits of talc ores are quite plentiful in the world but monomineral talc compositions occur rarely. 7 Pure talc Talc combined with other minerals
