Easy to use testers, ideal for on-site inspection. The N4 is the standard testing clamp for on-site testing of regular workpieces. The N6 is designed for easy hardness testing on internal diameters, and the N7 is designed for testing on tooth flanks on gears etc.

2 N4 Portable Hardness Testing Clamp Portable hardness tester N4 for Rockwell, Superficial Rockwell, HVT, HBT and Ball Indentation Hardness Testing (ISO ). The hardness tester is constructed as a light alloy clamping device with an easily adjustable threaded spindle. The tester can be supplied in 4 different sizes and with a variety of test anvils, thus allowing for testing of multiple sample sizes and geometries. Additionally you can select the test loads to meet your particular demands for test method. Test Load Configurations Test units The N4 hardness testers can be configured with a number of predefined test loads, depending on requirements to test methods. When selecting the test units, it is possible to choose between following two basic options: a) Basic Test Unit (EMN1A001) with one available test load (spring sleeve), for instance 150 kgf (EMN2A001) b) Adjustable Test Unit with three builtin test loads, for instance 60/100/150 kgf (EMN1R000) If you are using the same test load all the time, for instance 150 kgf (as used with HRC, HRG, HRK, HRP and HRV) then option a) is recommended. If you, however, want the flexibility to easily change between different test loads (for instance if you are running HRA, HRB and HRC) then, option b) is recommended. The test units and spring sleeves in both option a) and b) can of course always be changed or upgraded. Please see the accessories list for all test unit options. Simple operation Loading (pre-loads and main loads) are easily applied by means of a lever: 1. Application of pre-load 2. Application of main load 3. Application of 2nd pre-load 4. Return to initial position A read-out of the hardness value will appear on the dial gauge. 3 N6 Intest Hardness Tester N7 Portable Hardness Tester for Tooth Flanks The N6 is a portable hardness tester for hardness testing of internal diameters, bores, holes etc. The test force is easily applied in 4 steps and the hardness value is directly read out on the dial gauge in HRC (Rockwell C). The N6 can execute hardness tests on internal diameters from 36 to 110 mm dia. (1.4" to 4.3") in a depth of up to 400 mm (15.7"). The N7 is a unique portable hardness tester for hardness measurement of tooth flanks and gears. Often these areas can be difficult to reach for conventional portable testers, but with this unique system it is possible to clamp and perform the hardness measurements directly on the tooth flanks. Only requirement for a successful test is that a supporting surface must be present parallel to the flank for the tester to be able to clamp the sample thoroughly. The test force is easily applied in 4 steps and the hardness value is directly read out on the dial gauge in HRC (Rockwell C). The N7 can execute hardness tests on tooth flanks with a supporting width of max 140 mm (N7F) or max 700 mm (N7P).
