2 Introduction Introduction ISO 9001 Registered QMS In 1990, Hi-Tech Seals was founded in Edmonton, Alberta. We have since expanded to six locations across Canada and one location in the United States. A major factor in our success has been our ability to supply quality products, delivered on time, at a competitive cost, backed by a knowledgeable team of sealing professionals. We are committed to our Quality Management System (QMS). Hi-Tech Seals registered our first branch under an ISO QMS in Now, all our locations and divisions are registered under the ISO QMS. The four main goals of our policy include: As an international seal and gasket company, Hi-Tech Seals utilizes in house and global engineering and manufacturing resources. This allows our technical sales team to work with various individuals to find a superior solution for any sealing or gasket application. Custom Seal Kits Custom seal kits provide customers with an easy to use system of reordering groups of product. Whether it is for a piece of machinery that undergoes maintenance or for manufacturing machinery, our sales staff will identify the sealing components and create a kit in our system. The kit can include custom labels with company logos and part numbers. When placing an order, simply provide us with the kit number and receive the parts in one bag. 2 HITECHSEALS.COM Hi-Tech Seals shall distribute and/or manufacture a quality product that will meet our customers' requirements and expectations. Hi-Tech Seals shall strive to continually improve the effectiveness of the Quality Management System. Hi-Tech Seals' Quality Policy shall be communicated and understood at all levels of the organization. Hi-Tech Seals' Quality Policy and Quality Objectives will be reviewed for effectiveness and accuracy during the Annual Management Review. After Hours Service Hi-Tech Seals offers an on call service available after regular business hours, including weekends. An after-hours sales representative can be reached by contacting a local Hi-Tech Seals branch. Service charges may apply.

3 Rapid Seal Rubber & Plastic Machining Hi-Tech Seals in house rubber & plastic machining facilities are located in Edmonton, AB, Winnipeg, MB, and Newmarket, ON. Our experienced staff can quickly design and manufacture new, replacement, and prototype parts. Customers can select from one of our pre programmed seal profiles or create custom seals by providing samples, drawings, or existing metal dimensions. Machined parts can save companies time, money, and the inconvenience of searching for difficult to find parts. Rapid Prototyping While working with Hi-Tech Seals, customers can gain access to our experienced engineering, drafting and machining staff for additional support. Our in-house machining department is capable of machining prototypes quickly and without expensive tooling costs. This allows Hi-Tech Seals to provide prototype parts for testing purposes, typically within the same week. 8 Rapid Gasket LaserQC Hi-Tech Seals Gasket Division employs a Virtek LaserQC 1200 machine. The LaserQC assists in reverse engineering, quality inspection and control, and statistical process control. It captures over 500 data points per second, while maintaining a tolerance within ± 0.05mm (0.002"). Our drafting department makes adjustments to the scanned data to optimize the tolerance levels. The file can then be exported directly to our flashcutters or water jet for rapid gasket production. 9 Rapid Gasket Equipment Flashcutter Our Atom Flashcutters are capable of utilizing CAD renderings to quickly produce gaskets from rubber, plastic and composite materials. Each flashcutter s surface area can accommodate material up to 60" 120". We are capable of cutting rubber materials up to 1" thick and plastic and composite materials up to a 1/2" thick. The flashcutters use a rapid vertical reciprocating motion to cut the gaskets. The cutting motion produces a cleaner finished part, avoiding compression marks found on die cut gaskets. The flashcutters' vacuum surfaces hold sheet material in place preventing the movement of parts during production. This enables the flashcutter to maintain exceptional tolerances. Waterjet The Omax waterjet further expands our manufacturing capabilities. The waterjet cuts the standard composite and rubber materials, but also allows us to manufacture metal gaskets up to 6" thick. The waterjet working surface area is 60" 135". Die Cut Hi-Tech Seals Gasket Division utilizes a clicker press to produce die cut gaskets. Dies are manufactured locally and stored in house. Our die cutting capabilities include all soft gasket materials in various shapes. Hand Cut For cost effective small runs, our Gasket Division produces hand cut gaskets. Hand cut gaskets are excellent for prototype applications or for one of a kind parts. HITECHSEALS.COM 9

10 Cast Urethane Cast Urethane Hi-Tech Seals Cast Urethane Division is centrally located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Cast urethane components can be designed for new or existing applications, as well as for replacements of previously used plastic, rubber, or metal components. This versatile material can allow for lighter, quieter, and longer lasting products. Polyurethane s excellent physical characteristics can save money by increasing wear resistance, providing less downtime, and by having less product breakage. Mold Making Hi-Tech Seals Cast Urethane Division utilizes a 3D printer to create scale models of components. The process allows us to have full control of our mold development and allows us to reduce expensive tooling charges. 10 HITECHSEALS.COM

11 Cast Urethane Customize Your Urethane Types of Urethane When creating a customized urethane product, Hi-Tech Seals can provide two main types of polyurethane. These products can have a base of either Polyether and Polyester. Polyethers: More flexibility over polyesters Better hydrolysis resistance Polyesters: Oil and fuel resistance Wear resistance Dynamic properties Durometer Hi-Tech Seals can maintain a urethane's toughness and resilience while producing a polyurethane as soft as 30 Shore A to as hard as 87 D. Shore A Shore D Custom Colours Black, red, yellow, orange, green, blue, white or a custom corporate colour. Logos & Part Numbers Hi-Tech Seals can add a company logo or part number to most urethane components. These identification markings can help create brand awareness and identify proprietary parts. 12 Precision Laser Engraving & Cutting Identifying Your Parts Hi-Tech Seals offers a laser engraving service. We are capable of engraving a company name, logo, part number, and application description on to parts. The focused laser can etch legible text as small as 1/8" tall. Our engraving capabilities extend to plastic, rubber, and some metals. Custom labeling can: Aid in identifying parts Increase brand name exposure Lock in proprietary part ordering Enable the customers to reorder with ease Provide traceability to batch or lot numbers Precision Laser Cutting The laser-etching device is also capable of quickly and accurately cutting custom shapes, gaskets, and spacers. With its cutting capabilities it makes an excellent addition to our rapid prototyping service. 12 HITECHSEALS.COM
