Microbecide PCO Sealant Overview Photocatalyic Oxidation (PCO) Microbecide PCO (Photocatalyic Oxidation) Sealant is a custom manufactured, self-cleaning, photocatalyst surface treatment or coating. Microbecide PCO Sealant uniquely combines Titanium Dioxide (TiO 2 ), Silicon Dioxide (SiO 2 ) and Ionic Silver (Ag + ) to impart an active photocatalytic oxidation function to a coated surface. Non-PCO Sealant coated Water drop Water drop Self-Cleaning Surfaces Generally, detergents reduce the surface tension of water and the contact angle is lowered. When a PCO Sealant coated surface is exposed to light, the contact angle of the sealed surface with water is reduced gradually. After enough exposure to light, the sealed surface reaches superhydrophilicity. In other words, it does not repel water at all, so water cannot exist in the shape of a drop, but spreads flatly on the substrate. The hydrophilic nature of the sealant, coupled with gravity, enables pollutant particles to be swept away following a water stream making the coated surface self-cleaning. PCO Sealant coated Figure-1 Difference between coated and non-coated surface Non-PCO Sealant coated PCO Sealant coated Super Hydrophilicity Microbecide PCO Sealant imparts an active photocatalytic oxidation function to a PCO Sealant coated surface. The coated surface will also exhibit super hydrophilicity features under light irradiation. The contact angle of the surface will be reduced to <10 degrees, which brings the following benefits. Water will not form a water drop on a surface when its contact angle is <10, it will form a complete water film. The water will be in a flat condition on the surface. Generally, cleaning agents reduce the contact angle of water on a surface. This is the hydrophilicity feature. PCO Sealant simulates this feature, so that a single water wash on the surface can reach the same effect as a traditional washing with detergent. PCO Sealant coat on Aluminum panel Washing or wiping the surace with only water, the surface will be cleaned as after a traditional wash with a cleaning agent. PCO Selant promotes transpiration of coated surfaces or objects. If a panel in the compressor of an air condition is coated with PCO Sealant the air conditioning system will show better efficiency. If a building wall is coated with PCO Sealant, the building will need less energy to cool down in summer. The hydrophilic feature can keep the water on the surface and the entire surface can be covered with only a little water. This will prompt its transpiration. The hydrophilicity also makes the coated surfaces self cleaning, they wash clean in rain.

Organic pollutant Inorganic pollutant PCO Sealant coated surface (In the presence of light, PCO Sealant will decompose the organic pollutants. Without the adhesion of organic pollutant, any remaining inorganic pollutant on the surface can be easily swept away.) PCO Sealant coated Non PCO Sealant coated Organic Decomposition Feature. When PCO Sealant is exposed to light, it can decompose almost all the organic substance on the surface, which provides the following benefits. When the PCO Sealant decomposes the absorbed organic pollutant on the surface like oil, it will make the surface cleaner, and after the oil is decomposed, other inorganic pollutants will be unlikely to stay on the surface. The surface can be easily washed down by rain or other cleaning methods. The PCO Sealant can also purify the air around the building. PCO Sealant will purify the NOx gas generated by cars. When the building or road side walls are coated, the surface is cleaned and the surronding environment is greatly improved as well. Broad-Spectrum Antibiosis and Anti-Mold There are 2 benefits of this feature. i. PCO Sealant can prevent mold or moss, so it will keep marble and granite buildings cleaner. ii. Broad-spectrum antibiosis provides beneficial results not only to the coated surface but to the surrounding air flow also. Anti-UV Feature PCO Sealant can absorb UV and protect the coated surface. UV light may make some colored surface fade. PCO Sealant can protect the surface from UV damage. Antistatic Feature The antistatic feature can resist static adsorption of small dust such as ash, coal powder, smoke, etc. PCO Sealant coated (Organic and inorganic pollutants are strongly adsorbed on the surface of the wall which is coated with PCO Sealant. Normal surface Antistatic surface Tips: How to take advantage of the super-hydrophilic feature? The super-hydrophilic feature can provide the same effect as a detergent (reduce the contact angle of the surface). Self-cleaning: If there is rain, the PCO Sealant provides a self-cleaning action after rain wash. The rain wash has the same effect as a traditional wash on the surface with detergent. Easy-cleaning: If there is no rain, simply wash the surface using water. A single water wash will have the same effect as a traditional wash with detergent.

Advanced Air Purification Solution Microbecide PCO Sealant Objective: Outdoor air purification (car and industry exhausts purification) Indoor air purification (Sick-house Syndrome, VOCs) Air purification device and filter industry Solution: PCO Sealant is a next generation of air purification technology, which can treat air pollutions caused by more than 85% kinds of harmful gases such as car exhausts NOx, formaldehyde, benzene, VOCs. At the presence of light, PCO Sealant produces hydroxyl radicals and holes (h + ), which react with organic materials and harmful gases to produce water and carbon dioxide. There is no extra pollution in the whole purification process. PCO Sealant reacts as a catalyst in the chemical reaction so that its performance will continue for extended time and it will never be consumed. 12 TiO2 World Changing Technologies Pte Ltd 1. Application Overview Electrostatic spraying is the recommended application method for applying PCO Sealant. Other methods include r ol l i ng, dipping and brushing. If you have any questions please contact us at service@wctinfo.com. 2. Electrostatic Sprayer Application Method The electrostatic sprayer method is the most popular & recommended application method for applying PCO Sealant. The electrostatic sprayer produces super fine atomized particles that are sprayed onto the surface to be treated. The electrostatic sprayer deposits a microscopic film of PCO Sealant. Typical recommended surfaces to apply this method of application are: Walls, paint surface, marble, granite, building, glass, ceiling, ceramic, tile, carpet, paper and etc 3. Rolling & Brushing Application Method Rolling is a simple & easy method to apply PCO Sealant. PCO Sealant can be rolled or brushed onto a surface such as a building's exterior wall. Rolling or brushing a coating onto a surface wiill be more costly as the film will be much thicker and more PCO Sealant could be used. The typical objects suggested for this method include: Walls, paint surfaces, granite, marble, tile, metal and etc 4. Dipping Application Method The dipping method may be used in industrial application or small subject treatment like bulbs. Dip the subject to be treated into PCO Sealant directly and dry it under ambient temperature or heat it below 200 Celsius degree. Typical subjects suggested to apply this method are: Air filters, water filters, key parts of air / water purification systems, bulbs, fabrics, clothes, mops, rags, food containers such as plates, etc

4. Spray Guidance 1. Before spraying When using unfamiliar equipment or coatings, always test on a small area before treating the entire surface. 2. Spray pattern 1) Apply PCO Sealant in an over-lapping spray-pattern to ensure an even coverage of coating. 2) The target surface should just barely glisten with the coating. Do not over-saturate the surface; if you see runs or puddles it means you are wasting PCO Sealant. Check to make sure the newly-coated surface is very slightly damp. 3) When you have coated an area by accident, wipe off the solution immediately. It is very difficult to remove once it has begun to dry. 4) The optimal spraying distance from the target surface is about 1m (39 inches); a spraying distance from the target surface of 0.9m to 1.2m (36 to 48 inches) provides the most even coating. This gives the charged mist space to develop into a chaotic cloud that will be attracted to the target surface. 5) Hold the spraygun at right angles to the target surface. Starting at the highest point and using zig-zag horizontal strokes about 1 meter (3 ft.) wide, apply the PCO Sealant down to the lowest point. Try to have each stroke overlap the previous stroke by about 50%. 6) Use vertical strokes if it suits the area better. Just make sure to work in a methodical pattern and let your strokes overlap. 7) When moving to the next section, allow it to overlap the previous section by a few centimeters. Do not leave a gap. 8) Unlike spray painting, you don t have to stop the application on every return stroke. Just engage the trigger lock and concentrate on the regular pattern of coating. Periodically check to make sure the red light is illuminated on the spraygun.

5. PCO Sealant Drying There are two phases in the PCO Sealant protective film forming process, including the primary drying and the final setting. Primary drying is a procession, by which the PCO Sealant is preliminarily coagulated by evaporation of the dispersant. After primary drying, the PCO Sealant is stabilized and can be activated by light. Drying with heat can effectively lessen the drying time. Once the PCO Sealant is final set it becomes a solid film which never dissolves. For approximately two months after the finished application the hardness process will continue until it reaches a stability of 2H to 5H (equivalent to a pencil lead). In case of forced drying or heating, it should be conducted below 600 C. When the PCO Sealant is heated to more than 800 C, the photocatalyst activity is decreased. If an area is coated by accident, wipe off the excess solution immediately. It is very difficult to remove the coating after it has dried completely. 6. Safety Caution Refer to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). Recommended gear such as gauze facemask and eye protection goggles should be worn during the installation of PCO Sealant.
