1 Facestock A matt white topcoted polyimide film with very high dimensional stability, heat and chemical. The high opacity white topcoat is specifically designed for thermal transfer printing and offers excellent scratch, scuff, UV, high temperature and solvent. Basis weight: 72 g/m² ISO 536 Caliper: 0,043 mm ISO 534 Adhesive S8088 is a high performance acrylic adhesive with excellent heat and chemical. Type: Solvent acrylic Coat weight: 27 g/m² Initial Tack: 220 N/m FTM 9 glass Peel Adhesion: 330 N/m FTM 2 steel 24 hrs. Min. application temperature: +10 C Min. service temperature: -40 C Max. peak temperature: +280 C Liner 50#SCK: siliconized, bleached, super-calendered kraft liner. Good die-cutting and matrix stripping. Suitable for roll-to-roll conversion. Basis weight: 80 g/m² ISO 536 Caliper: 0,081 mm ISO 534 Opacity: 70 % DIN Tensile Strength: 163 N/15mm MD This liner is not recommended for sheeting. Total construction caliper 0,151 mm Typical Values Typical values, not for specification use: see Appendix 1. Applications and use Polyimide I Matt White-S8088 was specially developed for labeling printed circuit boards prior to soldering. The construction is designed to withstand reflow processes regardless if the label is on top or bottom of the board. It can also withstand two cycles of reflow processes when surface mounting elements to both sides of the board. The product is also designed to be used in the wave solder process even when directly exposed to the solder bath. The matt topcoat had been formulated to prevent solder balls forming on top of the label. Application tests are recommended. Printing and conversion The topcoat is designed for thermal transfer and flexo printing. When used with an appropriate ribbon it will withstand temperature spikes up to 280ºC. Due to the thinness of the facestock, automatic dispensing and application should be thoroughly tested prior to committing to production. This product is designed for roll-to-roll conversion. It is not recommended for sheeting. UL approval This product is UL recognized for indoor use and exposure to wave solder applications; the file number is MH For specific information on approved conditions, see appendix 2. RoHS / Regulation 2002/95/EU The substances listed in article 4 lid 1 of 2002/95/EU (RoHS) are not intentionally used in this product. The concentration limits of these substances will not exceed the set maximum concentration limits as provided in the proposed amendment for 2002/95/EU. Shelf life One years when stored at 22 C and 50 %rh.

2 Appendix 1: Performance Data Note: the following technical data should be considered representative or typical only and should not be used for specification purposes. Peel Adhesion: FTM1: 180, 300 mm/min in N/25mm. Surface dwell time 20 min dwell time 24 hrs Epoxy Printed Circuit Board 4,5 7 Stainless steel 4,5 6,5 Short term high temperature The label material has been tested on Epoxy Printed Circuit Board. A typical reflow solder profile with a maximum temperature of 240 C has been processed. No visible changes could be noticed. Print is still legible. Chemical Resistance The performance results are based on simulation of a typical PCB cleaning process including a simulation of a solder process.
