2 F Turning Geometry The new F geometry is a semifinishing and finishing geometry that is ideal for machining high accuracy components with thin wall sections such as turbine discs and fan discs found in aerospace engines. The periphery ground edges allow for high accuracy profiling and excellent indexability. 8 VS Chevron Cutter The Stellram VS Cutter is capable of both slotting and profiling. esigned for high material removal rates in Titanium and high performance metals; tests have shown metal removal rates of up to two times greater than those of comparable cutters on the market. The advanced chevron design ensures that one cutting point is always in contact with the material during entrance and exit. 11 77VR illing Cutter Grade X Grade Technology Insert This high performance premium carbide grade has a high level of toughness and a specially developed carbide substrate with a CV coating for demanding milling applications. This unique grade operates at low to medium cutting speeds and is capable of high metal removal rates whilst retaining a secure cutting edge. Its primary use is in alloyed steels, stainless steels and high temperature alloys. Grade SP19 Carbide coated with a TiAlN and lubricity layer PV coating. The insert has a lower friction coefficient and a lower cutting energy during finishing. The sharper cutting edge reduces the builtup edge damage and gives the work pieces an excellent surface finish. Recommended for steel and stainless steel, in either higher speed or dry machining applications. 12 7VZ1 illing Cutter ATI Stellram s 7VZ1 cutters are our latest design for high metal removal in aluminum applications. This tool is designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with EN ISO 11:01 for maximum stability in high speed applications. The tools are capable of 1,000 RP depending on diameter. The unique 1mm insert with 71 geometry allows machining in thinwall applications due to low pressure of the cutting edge.
